John and Angel nodded then, Felix began to do the magic and soon the three of them vanished from the spot. When they reappeared they were in an unfamiliar spot and what greeted them was a tall humanoid sand creature with red eyes swinging its fist at them.
"Duck!" John shouted.
"Not duck, run!" Angel retorted.
"Freeze snap."
Felix snapped his fingers as he fell backwards into the sand. The large sand creature froze in mid punch as a thick layer of ice rapidly encased it. However, picking himself up, he found the ice creaking as the sand creature was rapidly eating away at the ice that encased it as the sand that either covered or made of moved grinding it away.
Crack!
Roar!
In seconds the ice was grinded away and the sand creature seemed more infuriated.
"Time for the Joestar's Final Trick."
"Finally trick?" Angel looked worried.
"Who are the Joestars?" John asked.
"Yep, and this reply on your athletic ability." Felix nodded.
This seemed to make the two of them more worried as they looked at him. He didn't know why since it had been over a month since he last used the Path ability. So he is in top shape or even slightly better than or says Mr. Granger.
"Run away!" Felix turned and ran.
"Felix!" Angel cried as she rushed to follow.
"Wait for me!" John shouted as he followed suit.
"Roar? Roar!" The sand creature roared once in confusion then rage.
Felix led the way and he didn't know why as neither John nor Angel tried to take it. Which led them to make a circle and return back to where they landed. Blinking once, Felix scratched his head at how this happened. This is like the time he originally wanted to go to France for vacation last year, but ended up in Japan. He still didn't understand how it happened.
"How did you manage to go in a circle?" John lightly panted from the short run.
"If you ask me, who am I supposed to ask? Maybe there is a clue here to defeat the sand creature." Felix's eyes shifted as he rubbed his foot on the ground. "Maybe there is an illusion trap that tricks the senses here."
'He is lost and doesn't want to admit it.' Both Angel and John thought.
Due to making a compass to help him navigate, Angel and John temporarily forgot how bad his sense of direction is. So when they saw the sand creature rushing towards them again. They were preparing to run, when Felix looked like he had an idea.
After making a few poses with his hand, they watched as he took a deep breath.
"Fire Release: Great Fireball Jutsu."
Then they watched as a small spew of fire came from Felix's lips as a large fire ball quickly formed and slammed into the sand creature. They were shocked and then quickly realized he was messing around with magic again.
Ka-boom!
A small explosion happened as the sand creature that was hit roared furiously as it flew backwards with parts of it turning to glass. So seeing its movements slowing down, Angel raised her hand and used wandless magic to make a stream of fire.
After a couple years and Felix help, while she can't use wandless magic as freely as Felix, she could use it to a fair degree.
"Roar!"
The sand creature roared one last time before it turned into a glass creature and shattered. Seeing this, the three let out a breath of relief. They doubt that this is the last saw of such a creature, but now they have an idea on how to take them out.
"It looks humanoid with gray skin, but also like a being of sand?" John asked.
"Best guess, a Sand Creature from the legend. They are originally human, but were infected by the Sand of Time. From a couple sources, they are fairly simple creatures who only really know how to fight. Well, unless they are a rare kind, then they are more capable of thoughts, not much, but this not much makes them much more dangerous."
Felix explained as he recalled the various legends and information he shifted through. There are not many records of such creatures after all, since according to legend, after the Prince gave away the Dagger of Time, these creatures vanished. Now being attacked by one, he thinks the legends were a bit misguided and so were his thoughts.
The Dagger of Time might be here, but the Island might have been sealed away in a different space to stop these creatures.
"So, shall we continue our search?" Felix asked.
