The morning assembly had been postponed for later that day, why, no one could tell. The Emperor merely said he had other works that needed his attention.
Gart knew there was no other work, for he would have been informed. Either way his job was to deliver the message to the Ministers, so that is what he did. No longer did he find the courage or need to tell Tesarius the difference between right and wrong, good and evil, and what was alright to say or do to certain people. After what happened today, it no longer mattered to him. For Tesarius had issued such a decree with advice from no one, not even Gart, who had only found out that very morning from Baron Salista once the scroll had been sent to him. Needless to say, Gart was devasted. Tesarius trusted his new Consort more than his old friends.
"His Majesty postponed the assembly for evening? Why?" One of the Ministers asked, but all Gart replied was he didn't know, and it was not his place to ask the Emperor.
