The sound of water sloshing in the bath echoed across the silent chamber, as Aurora sat their facing her vanity and stared into the distance. Her face was void, hands running through her silver curls just as Anne stepped out of the bath, wiping her wet hands on a cloth.
"Your bath has been prepared, Your Majesty."
Yet, as she said that, she was met with silence. Anne tilted her head sideways slightly, wondering what was the reason behind that silence. "Your Majesty?"
"I lied to Tesarius today."

Anne didn't know what to say to that. She didn't need to, for Aurora was already talking again. "I lied to him, about a grave matter. One I shouldn't have lied about."
Anne pursed her lips, slowly walking towards the lady with a thin-lipped smile. "I'm sure His Majesty wouldn't mind. I mean, how grave could it be?"
"I told him there was no mole. I hid Amalia's true identity."
The smile from Anne's face disappeared without a trace, replaced with her face going ashen. "Aurora…"
