"Ugh!" Cassius groaned in agony, collapsing to his knees. His Shifter had ended. His left hand clutched the gaping wound in his abdomen, fresh blood seeping through his fingers.
He'd tried every tactic, every strategy—nevertheless all resistance had failed. Touching Mavros was nearly impossible. Cassius coughed up blood, then spat it out with bitter contempt.
That bastard! How dare he deceive me—damn it! How am I supposed to defeat him? He's far stronger than I ever imagined!
"What's wrong? Why so quiet all of a sudden, Cassius?" Mavros taunted. His devil face shows genocide smile. "I told you to surrender. Accept your fate. At least then you wouldn't have to endure this kind of pain and suffering, right?"
