The maid walked slowly through the halls. She did not want to be caught by anyone. All the maids knew that when doing something for Taryn the uttermost discretion must be applied.
She looked left and right and left again. She looked behind her shoulder.
The reason she was so weary was due to the fact that today was not the day the sheet were washed in the castle. So, if she was seen, she would be questioned.
The maid made sure to fold the sheets as tightly as she could. She entered into Taryn's quarters.
At that same moment another maid ran out of the bedroom after Taryn's loud voice thundered.
The eyes of the maid that rushed out were full of tears. This made the second maid frightened. She had definitely come at the wrong time.
The maid took a deep breath. She gulped and braced herself.
"Your majesty," she walked into the room.
"*Ugh* Incompetent, simply incompetent, every single one of them," Taryn scoffed.
"Your majesty, " the maid called.
