The maid Taryn had spoke to rushed to the kitchen. She was shivering, she hoped that by the time she returned, Ian had already left.
She was confused, she did not know what Taryn wished to do with the sheets she was commanded to get for her. Nevertheless, she knew better than to ask questions that would get her into serious trouble.
"Is her highness's breakfast prepared?" she asked the cook who was busy.
"At this point it is no longer breakfast but a midday meal." she heard one of the maids sneer. She decided to ignore the maids that were gossiping.
"Is her highness's breakfast prepared?" she asked again.
"Wait, wait, be patient, I said that it will be done soon," the cook replied annoyed.
"I asked you the first time and you did not say anything," the maid frowned.
"Calm down, here, I am done now," the cook handed her a tray.
"Finally," she frowned and took her leave.
The cook scoffed, he wiped his hands with a cloth.
