Taryn tsked. She was beyond annoyed with Angelica's presence. Not only was she from an outcast family, but she now held the title of crown princess, a title that she never wanted for someone like her.
If Taryn had her way, she would make sure that Angelica's life here would be hell on earth, but she knew how to start small.
"Let me guess, she is rude and hard to approach, right?" Taryn asked.
"I cannot say my queen," the maid replied. She would be a fool to speak ill of the new crown princess. They did not know her well yet, and that gave all the servants in the castle a reason to fear.
"Oh, you shut up there, you know, you know very well," Taryn snapped.
She realized that she was getting too comfortable standing here. If Ian was to walk out of his bedroom any moment now, she would regret getting out of bed this morning as that idiotic boy would insult her. She would have no one to blame but herself as she was in his territory.
