The two-headed sea serpent with dark azure scales, which glowed an incandescent blue whenever it charged up for an attack, was known as a 'Twin-headed Seawater Leviathan'—a feared existence in the seas of the Trial World, Hearth.
It was feared because it was born a Husk rather than starting out at the very bottom of the food chain. And because of this and due to its long life span, it had been able to acquire years of experience in utilising the mana.
As rain continued to fall from the sky and pelt the sea below, as the clouds above still continued to roar and cheer for the inevitable battle to come, the Leviathan locked eyes with the wooden vessel once more.
Their tongues slithered out and rapidly flicked up and down in the direction of the damaged ship as the two heads still felt the blow from the Captain's attack.
The scales along their body glowed a faint light once more as the surface of the water around them bubbled and shifted before slowly rising.
