Flying desperately across the sky was a certain white dragon, with an entire pod of gigantic leviathan whales chasing after her.
Barely hanging onto the tip of her tail was a black-haired, golden-eyed boy, making it look as though the dragon was using him as bait to fish for leviathans.
And judging by the way those damned creatures kept leaping out of the sea to swallow the poor boy whole…
They were absolutely falling for it.
Never mind the fact that only a few minutes ago, Alden had thrown himself into the heart of the Dragon Empire to save this utterly ungrateful dragon.
"At least fly a little higher, you damned lizard!"
He screamed at Aemirya just as another leviathan lunged toward him. Instead of flying higher… That damned woman dipped even lower.
Only at the very last instant did she shoot back upward, just before the creature's enormous jaws could swallow Alden whole.
