Alden and Aemirya tumbled through raging torrents of spatial energy, both of them using mana to shield themselves from the violent storm.
Or rather…
It was mostly Aemirya doing the hard work.
Using that spell had drained nearly all of Alden's mana.
Celestial Singularity.
At first glance, the spell seemed deceptively simple but it was something which used spatial mana to forcefully compress unstable Eclipse mana, trapping the constantly conflicting forces of light and shadow into a single point.
Alden had gained the inspiration for it while wondering how he was supposed to create a spell when his Eclipse mana refused to obey him.
The answer was surprisingly simple…
He didn't need to control it.
He only needed to compress it.
Why bother forcing unstable mana into obedience… When it became even more destructive left completely out of control?
Of course…
Using such a spell would have been suicide had he not first devoured Aemirya's spatial portal with his Abyssal Soul.
