"Alden… is that you?"
Amyra asked, her voice filled with desperation.
"Please tell me… it's you."
But the voice that came from the other side was the last thing either Nyx or Amyra expected to hear.
"Hey… hey, besties."
A soft sly voice echoed from the shadow.
"The situation inside is really bad, and Alden is about to be sacrificed by Jeremy… and I just so happened to overhear that you need a source to enter and rescue him. So how about I provide you with one, and in return… you save me along with Alden?"
She didn't bother beating around the bush, already aware of the personalities of both women she was dealing with.
"Wouldn't you do that for poor old me?"
Nyx looked at Amyra without saying a word, and the two silently nodded at each other. They both knew Seles was the last person they wanted to trust but at the moment, they had no other choice.
"Weren't you fighting Alden just a few moments ago? And how can we trust that this isn't another trap?"
Nyx asked cautiously.
