Chapter 123 - Chapter 123: Start of the War Against the Gods

[3rd POV]

Having just left her space in Kuoh, Morgan reappeared in the skies above. Far far above the lands of Japan, Morgan looked down. A frown formed on her face, as she went about locating the arrogant Gods that were attempting to intrude into her territory.

She found that this time the intrusion was not through power, but they were personally there to do it.

She spread her senses far and wide, trying to see if she could detect them. She did. But it had taken a few moments to properly find where they were. And it looked like they were on the Eastern most side, which was probably the best way to come through for them.

They could not reasonably come from the West, not when China and other major countries that she controlled were there. On top of that India was over there, and that was the country that the Hindu Gods had control over. So they couldn't reasonably go around there either, not when the Hindu Gods have yet to confirm if they were going to take part in the war or not, and which side they were going to fight for in said war.

Morgan doubted they'd be fighting for her. As whatever was remaining of the pantheons after this, was going to be absorbed into her faction. That much she had already decided the moment that she had found out about their movements and what they were planning on doing.

Morgan needed this in order to build up the remaining amounts of power needed to properly fight against Trihexa. On top of that, it would stop any future conflicts from starting, and would allow the supernatural community as a whole to start to grow at a rapid pace. Whatever Gods did not agree to join her faction, would find themselves...disposed off, while their divinity would go to someone a bit more worthy of it.

She had a feeling that there was going to be a lot of these cases. As Greek Gods were notoriously arrogant, and were almost certainly going to deny any proposition that she may send their ways. But she hoped to recruit at least a quarter of each of the pantheons, and if she managed that, she would be happy enough.

Realistically she needed closer to 50%, but she knew for a fact that there was a very very very low chance of that ever happening. A low enough chance that there really wasn't much of a point in hoping for it.

Appearing above where the Gods were, she expanded her sight further. Looking down, she found the Gods in question, floating there. They all seemed to have irritated expressions on their faces, and from just a glance, she knew exactly which Gods were there in the group.

There was Poseidon, a tall man holding a massive trident that glowed with divine power and the domain of the Seas.

There was an Egyptian God that she understood was Bast, a cat Goddess that was...not on the same level of power as Poseidon. She wondered why she was even there, but she doubted this was an actual attack, but was probably them coming to do some sort of declaration.

There was a Roman God that looked to be Pluto, who was in fact the Roman counterpart of Hades. He was not as strong as his Greek counterpart, but he was definitely stronger than Poseidon from what she could tell. And it looked like he was somewhere in the low Super Class range of power.

A bit inconsequential, but still important to know.

There was an Aztec God that looked to be Tezcatlipoca, who was connected with destruction and evil and discord. The God looked to be somewhat powerful, more so than Bast. But not as strong as Pluto.

It was rather curious that Quetzalcoatl was not there. Which made Morgan rather interested in finding out if she was connected to the one from Fate or not, like Amaterasu was. She hadn't heard any information on God, and had not read much either. Meaning they were incredibly secretive.

Which just proved to be even more interesting to her.

She'd have to do some serious searching about her, as if she was truly the same as her Fate counterpart, it was highly likely that she was stronger than Pluto, and was closer in power to that of Amaterasu. Probably not at the same level, but she was definitely close if she was the same.

There were a ton of other nameless Gods that she did not truly care about. With all of them being relatively weak and therefore meaningless in her eyes.

But there was another that caught her eye, that she couldn't help but look at with slight surprise. She didn't expect this particular God to be there with them, considering how arrogant he was, and the fact that she could not see him putting himself under a potential threat of danger.

It was Zeus.

He was definitely pretty strong in person, and was easily around Hades's level of power. Only proving her belief even more, that the pantheons had Gods that were a lot stronger than what was publicly shown, and the supposed "Top 10" was more so the "Top 10 publically known strongest".

Because if it was top 10 in general, she'd be the fourth strongest, with Trihexa at number one. Zeus would definitely not be in the top ten, but he would be close alongside Hades. From what she could tell, he was roughly on par with his elder brother. But this was without holding his divine weapon in his hands. Said weapon was one of the strongest weapons in the world, and surpassed most longinus's in terms of pure power.

The only Longinus that was truly stronger for certain was the True Longinus. Zenith Tempest potentially was close, but that simply granted control over elements, primarily the weather. Whereas Zeus was the literal God of it. Thus his control over it was superior to 99% of Zenith Tempest users.

The current Zenith Tempest user was somewhere in Satan class so still impressive.

Looking over the Gods, Morgan hummed, before deciding that she had remained hidden for long enough, as she teleported down, and appeared behind them without making a sound. But she was still noticed after a few moments, as a random God yelled out a shocked shout.

Hearing the shout of alarm from the God, the others all turned, only to still as they all saw Morgan standing there with her hands in her pockets, as if she was not standing in front of a group of gods that wanted nothing more than to kill her.

"May I ask what you lot are doing here, standing near my lands, attempting to attack it?" Morgan asked, staring at the group in front of her without fear of worry. She had no fear of them, as she was confident that even if they had all worked together to attack her at the same time, they would not have a chance to defeat her.

"You know why we are here, you arrogant worm. You have overstepped your bounds! You have attacked another pantheon, and killed one of it's most important Gods! You have gone against dozens of laws and treaties!" A God yelled, this one seemed to be related to justice or laws, considering their knowledge.

"Hades was experimenting on one of my people. A higher up at that"

"Who could possibly be important enough for you to slay a God over it? To start a war!" A woman asked, as Morgan smiled.

"The mother of all Devils, Lilith. She was the one that he was experimenting on" Morgan replied with an eerie smile on her face as the Gods in the area all stilled. They began to realize that her reason for killing Hades was...very valid, at least to her own people.

The devils would not stop until justice had been brought for the actions against the mother of all devils, the one who brought the species into existence through her work with Lucifer. She was almost similar to a holy figure in their faction, and it would be an insult to their honor to not do anything about it.

"So, do you still believe that my reason for killing Hades was unjust?" Morgan asked once more, as the Gods began to glance at one another, realizing that they did not have the full story. And that...that was a problem.

But finally, after Morgan had spoken enough, the sounds of lightning crackling boomed overhead, as she heard the roar of Zeus enraged.

"You think I care about some worthless cunt! You have killed my brother! Insulted my people! I WILL HAVE REVENGE!" Zeus roared, as he launched a blast of lightning against her, only for Morgan to raise a hand as a glowing shield flickered into form around her, blocking the strike.

With the lightning dissipating a moment later, Morgan stared at Zeus for a few moments before sighing, and speaking.

"...You are going to regret that"
