The chase is on once again. Barry continues to run after the Reverse Flash as they race through the streets of Central City.
Streaks of red and white lightning followed each other, creating sonic booms, shaking up the parked vehicles, and causing the wind to stir up all over the place.
Some people manage to get a glimpse of the lightning flash and get excited over being able to witness the Flash. Even though they don't theoretically see him, everyone in the city knows that if you see a white lightning zoom through the streets, it's the Flash.
But some people who also see the red lightning start getting confused as they hear that the flash emits white lightning when it runs.
Berry pushes the Reverse Flash to the limit, to see how fast he could really run.
They both hit Mach 4, and then 5, which seems to be about Reverse Flash's current limit.
Reverse Flash then takes Barry to the Central City Stadium.
Reverse Flash suddenly stops and turns around, ready to confront Barry at super speed, and like last time, he isn't going to let the Flash body-check him again.
Reverse Flash sees Barry running right at him, so he extends his hands forward, grabs Barry, and throws him over, using his own momentum.
Barry goes flying. Well, he let Reverse Flash catch him and throw him because Mach 5 is nothing to Barry.
As Barry's body reaches the crowd area, he taps into his super speed, angles his body so that it's his feet that make contact first, and the moment it makes contact, he runs back at the Reverse Flash.
Seeing Barry making his way back to him, the Reverse Flash charges at the Flash with all his speed, and both ram each other at Mach 5.
The force created by their collision is equal to 60 kilos of TNT, followed by a very loud boom and explosion of lightning, sending both of them hurling back.
Barry pretends to struggle back to his feet while Reverse Flash is clearly feeling the force of the impact, but he still gets back up as his body heals quickly.
They run at each other again and stop in Flash Time, trying to throw punches and kicks. If one punch is dodged, the other makes contact.
The exchange of punches between them constantly creates loud sonic booms as both of them are punching each other faster than the speed of sound.
The Reverse Flash starts getting overwhelmed as Barry starts throwing supersonic haymakers after haymakers without trying to block any of the Reverse Flash's punches.
He wants the Reverse Flash to believe he is out of blood and is throwing the concept of self-preservation out the window.
Reverse Flash realizes that he cannot continue throwing hands with an opponent who is equal to him, but is willing to take damage to deliver damage.
Reverse Flash is in no condition to have a prolonged battle with the Flash right now, as he still hasn't recovered his full speed yet.
The night he killed Barry's mother was the biggest mistake of his life. By stopping Barry from becoming the Flash, he would never be able to research and recreate the artificial speed force, meaning he lost his connection to the one thing that made him who he is.
And with him disconnected from the artificial speed force that was created in the future, right now, he has no access to it.
The only way he is able to run as fast as he is right now is by charging his meta-human cells with a very powerful battery.
If this fight continues, he will run out of juice, while Flash will continue fighting because he derives his power from the real speed force that is all-encompassing throughout space and time.
The Reverse Flash has no need to continue fighting a losing fight, so the moment he sees an opening, he makes a run for it.
Barry is not going to let him go away so easily. He could end it here, but he wants to push the Reverse Flash a little more.
The chase once again begins as both of them race through the streets of Central City.
The Reverse Flash starts feeling his speed drain little by little.
He didn't expect his very first confrontation with the Flash would drain him of his power so much.
But just as he thinks there is no hope, he comes up with an idea. He is going to exploit one of Barry's biggest weaknesses: the people he cares about
The Reverse Flash makes a turn and runs towards S.T.A.R. Labs as the Flash gives chase.
It only takes them a minute to reach S.T.A.R. Labs. Reverse Flash runs in and immediately sees Cisco still working on something.
He immediately grabs Cisco and stops. His hand, vibrating next to Cisco's neck as Cisco is completely caught off guard.
Barry stops right before them.
"Holy shit! It's real! The man in the Yellow Suit! Barry, Help!" Cisco shouts as he sees Barry appear out of nowhere before him as well.
It all happened so fast. One moment he was working on something, and the next moment he was being held hostage by this psycho killer speedster.
"Let him go now!" Barry shouts. He could just run and end it all, but decides not to. Barry is still in control, and he doesn't want to break the illusion of his current speed.
"You will always be one step behind me! Flash!" Reverse Flash says, his voice sounding demonic because of his vibration vocal cords.
"And I recall beating the living hell out of you just a few minutes ago," Barry says, provoking Reverse Flash.
"You just got lucky. Let's see if you are fast enough to stop me from doing this!" Reverse Flash says and immediately jabs his vibrating hand towards Cisco's throat.
