Julius stared at him for several seconds before the corner of his lips rose up in a subtle smile.
"Unfortunately for you Grey, I simply cannot tell you."
Grey lifted a brow, his interest piqued.
"Why?"
Julius frowned at him, though it was clearly not born out of anger.
"Knowledge is a truly heavy burden to bear. Some wisdom gives strength, but some," He paused as a dark gleam flashed across his golden eyes momentarily.
"— They can corrupt." He finished his sentence with a quiet, somber undertone.
Now Grey was totally curious.
He had always been a naturally inquisitive fellow, perpetually wanting to know more and delve deeper into how things functioned or what they could become.
Time and time again, he had realized how much he loathed suspense.
One thing remained his saving grace, however; what he desired usually walked on its own two feet to find him eventually.
