Two days later, I unbuckled my safety belt and jumped off Woe's back onto the landing pad near one of the Bee Empire's border forts.
This was a very rushed journey, but thankfully, I had very competent Advisers and my bee-wife who could watch over my (metaphorical) throne even on such short notice.
I gave my greetings to the Chief of the fort, but she knew already that I was here on one business and one business only. The bees in the fort led me past their utility buildings to the sleeping cells, where they had already prepared one with extra mattresses for my comfort.
While my bodyguards prepared to watch over my helpless body, I laid down and let my mind wander—literally.
Although since first getting this ability I had a lot of practice with it, the novelty of it never fully went away. The lightness I felt after shaking off the need to drag my meat bag wherever I wanted to go was always exhilarating at first.
But I reined myself in and focused on Malevolence.
