Malevolence shook her head.
How could she hear something when there was so much noise around? Gunshots, buzzing of wings, crackling of massive fires, human shouts… She could only hear Flightsight because the other bee was shouting at the top of her lungs *and* sent a telepathic message to Malevolence with these words at the same time.
'Hear what, Commando? Be clear!'
Flightsight frowned, and it looked like she was about to reply—but then she just turned toward the wall of smoke with wide eyes.
Malevolence followed her gaze and gasped.
There were hornets emerging from the smoke. Hundreds of them—perhaps even several thousand!
The numbers weren't as shocking as the fact itself. The amount of smoke in the air was colossal. Malevolence knew for sure that no Beemarine could've gone through it without suffocating or becoming too weak to fly, even without accounting for the deadly heat!
