With a wide grin showing oddly sharp teeth the man bellowed loudly through the empty space filled only with monsters hiding admits the veil of darkness, with the illusion of light that never made anything bright, with the shadows that danced despite neve being cast, with the nervousness of four powerful travellers, one aloof boy, and even some from this saint that had now begun talking anew, hidden deeply within his voice, seeming not to want to fight, if only because he feared his reward and his contract might be revoked had they tried to fight him and he'd been forced to defend.
"I am here to help you get to the golden city." he simply announced, filling their hearts that had already been sieving with distrust and a great deal of terror at the arrival of someone so very clearly beyond their capabilities as mere scribes and transcribes with a teensy bit of hope that burned like the remnant of the flame atop one-inch tall candle kept by a hundred-year old gardener in his lantern.
For a few minutes there was no sound, Lawrence waiting for them to answer, but none of them entirely willing to say anything, especially since neither Leyk nor Avere truly saw themselves as Cades Kirgun, at least until Leyk who had prematurely went to the front and was as such almost forced by the others to talk, took his natural cowardice hostage and began talking as well.
"How do you know of Cades Kirgun?" he asked simply, not even the three they had now been travelling with, aside from Kehit who knew the rough draft of the story, and perhaps the other two... oh, so they did know, at least to a certain degree... well, eh shouldn't know it, that was for certain, or so thought at least Leyk, Avere thinking about prophecies and magical stuff he had heard of in obscure books and rare tomes from both Cades time and Rondels life.
Meanwhile, as Lawrence slightly wrinkled up his eyebrows he smiled and began to talk once more, now being a lot more certain that he had found the right people, not that he hadn't been certain of that before as he had already told them he would bring them back, the other three that did not know who Cades even was, or at least the two new boys, the burly man and the aloof child, took a step back, be it that the aloof boy was still being carried by Ohrren, the burly man with strawberry blonde hair as if it had been bleached.
"I have been told by another person who you surely already know to get you and bring you to the golden city." he simply said, expecting the two of them to already be aware but quickly growing more confused as he saw their confusion, resulting in him furthering his questions, now seeming like much less of a danger, but still hiding a great deal under his façade, like the burning magma under a tamed volcano that had been dormant so long a city had been build around it, it's endless height devoured by plants used to make wine.
"What exactly are your names?" he began, quickly adding on more details, " I have been told to look for either Leyk, Avere, or Cades, all with the last name of Kirgun, so I'd rather to get as many of them as there might be around here, just to be save..." he ended the last part, now sounding slightly threatening, looking at the aloof boy and the burly man, resulting in his confusion growing even deeper as he noticed the latex and disgustingly big ears of the man, seemingly putting it off as some kind of sickness as he also noticed the fact there were two vampires in one group, one person that seemed to be made out of Cadon, perhaps because of a contract as well, the burly man with the big ears and the orange goo that had now began to flow out of his ear as well, perhaps caused by the stress of this situation, and a person that was much different than they seemed to let on, a group of three males and two females.
For a mere second he thought the burly man could be one of the three people he was supposed to be looking for and bring back as soon as he could, being emphasized to cause as little stress as he was able to cause, or, not cause, he guessed, but he quickly put that thought off as he had not reacted in any different way when he had heard that name than the two normal males the taller of which, and admittedly also by far the more handsome one, now having begun to talk once more, seemingly intent on figuring this out and with that also relieving some of the pressure atop Lawrence who really didn't have to force them to answer using violence or the light of dominion.
"I" the tall vampire pointed at himself, " am Leyk", giving Lawrence quite a bit of relief already, with him quickly continuing, pointing at the female vampire, " that is Kehit", at the burly man, " that is Ohrren" a stone fell from Lawrence's heart, the young man not noticing and continuing, pointing at the young girl covered in dirt and blood so much so he had almost thought she might have been male, " that is Akrisen" Leyk continued, Lawrence now noting they did not know she was female and getting a small idea for a joke he'd like to crack later on, the boy now pointing at the young man in light armour, the smallest of the three males as Lawrence musingly added in his mind, " that is Avere." causing Lawrence to smile even a bit brighter and wider, making the others take a step back because of his still rather sharp teeth.
"Well" he began, "I am happy to meet you five, because I am going to get you to the golden city as fast as possible, just like your they asked me to." ending it with twirling his fingers through the air and summoning a great two-sided battle axe, twelve feet long with a dark black shaft made of rusty metal, the blades elegantly swung and decorated with being mostly crimson but having a tiny bit of darker material embedded along the edges of them, stomping the shaft's end forcefully on the ground and causing the sound of colliding metal to run through the endless realm once before stopping after a little bit.
