The other three seemed to take a few more steps back, a good thirty feet in total as Leyk, the newborn vampire and the one that had just pummelled him far beyond recognition by even his own mother, had she been alive, began to circle around him, looking at him like a cat at a tiny mouse, preparing for him to go all out, but hopefully not kill Avere who was now standing tall, trying to at least take a defensive stance, holding his hands out in front of him, his fingers together and put out as if he was gesturing to stop, but the other way around which was a bit annoying to see when one had put as much thought into such things as Leyk had done in the depths of the original Cades mind.
As the menacing and rather tall figure's right ear began to exude what seemed to be a kind of black flame, Leyk finally having figured out that he had to call upon it with the simple intent to utilize that promise, perhaps also the way to utilize the contract he had signed, and as he infused intent in his very body alongside his other reinforcements, leaving out the flow enforcement and the expulsion enforcement as he viewed that as a bit too much and wanted a bit more control right now as not to kill Avere right after the two had gotten out.
Within an instant, not even using the warp step, only using the steadfast active that he had always been using when he attacked recently, as if it had become second nature, he stood right in front of Avere, breaking his circling of the prey, and with a punch straight to the stomach he made the poor guy fly backwards, not just a hundred feet, not just that, no, he made him fly so far back, about a thousand feet that he had been thrown through about three dozen thick trees, lost multiple limbs, including both of his regenerated wings, his left arm, half of his right arm, his right foot, and a good deal of his stomach was impaled by a dent in the size of a fist where a constant stream of silver blood was escaping from, the poor guy barely able to stand up as Leyk already stood right besides him after a single second, not having used the warp as that would take a bit too much time to regenerate for his likes.
Avere was truly regretting that he hadn't given the blade that could not kill to Leyk already, having figured out how to call for the sun dial already, the one he had sent back deep inside his soul where the Sekaria most likely still resided right now, that was what he was cursing himself for as he laid in a ditch, having been saved by a small wall of air that had exploded and turned into a kind of smokescreen, perpetuated by a wave of mana that was being sent towards Avere from the ri-
With a grin on his face Leyk had sent Avere flying once more, this time, utilizing the power of motion he had received from his contract, and being quite elated as he began to feel the surrounding, the invisible waves that seemed purplish only to now have turned reddish as his eyes had done, extending like tentacles towards the flying body that had now lost most limbs.
Grabbing it with relative ease he held Avere in place, lifting him up a few feet, holding him, a few hundred feet away at a height of about a hundred foot, with himself quickly coming to attack him once more utilizing the height difference to attack from above as he had pushed himself upwards using expulsion reinforcement, a bright smile still on his face as Avere began to truly fear for his life, the other three having watched them from the distance and being almost there now, running, intent on not losing the two, though Leyk had only been fighting for half of a minute and still had quite a bit of time left over on the power of his earring.
It took not even a few seconds before he was right above Avere, using expulsion to fixate his position as he punched down with all he had, the intent to destroy, the intent to do all he could, the punch itself ripping through the stomach it hit, destroying it, a hole straight through as Avere flew downwards at an insane speed, Leyk using propulsion of the mana waves to land somewhere else, elegant, with great ease, having felt the other three approaching, the aloof boy almost being carried by the burly man, watching in a bit of terror as Leyk was finally hit.
A shockwave of intent and magic spread, perpetuated by Leyk's usage of propulsion to lower his own fall and further strengthened by the authority of motion he hag gained and used to accelerate his punch and the air around it, creating true chaos as multiple trees in the surrounding, rather empty, space were shaken so much they lost most leaves and a few rather big branches, the tiniest of them even falling over.
Avere himself had been a hundred foot in the air, hitting the ground in less than a millisecond, completely exploding, his entire silver self vanishing, only very little being left over, crawling into itself and forming a silver marble an inch across that glowed with an intense concentration of both intent and mana, laying inside a rather big crater where rips in the earth were running through the ground, in danger of devouring the pearl that Leyk had instantly appeared to grab and pick up.
For a second, standing amidst rubble he had caused to be, he felt worried, but after that instant there began to be silver regrowing around the pearl he was relatively confident to be able to easily destroy had he wanted to, and he knew that Avere was soon to return, probably being quite angry and fearful towards him by then, just like the other three that were now looking from the edge of the crater, Kehit looking as if she was still in thought, Ohrren being rather terrified, and the boy, well, being aloof as always.
Now, while smiling at his own progress, Leyk simply had to wait a few minutes, the core as he had decided to call it already having rebuild a good chunk of silver meat, causing him to lower it down to the ground, turn towards the three, intent on perhaps holding a small conversation, and leave it alone in the crater, being about 45 feet wide and nine feet low at the deepest, a small barrier of earth pile dup at the edges that he easily walked over when he lifted his legs a bit.
