"Let's start with the preparation first" she said, taking a few steps away, towards the corpses, Leyk following, not even realizing that they were about to do it right away, assuming, of course, that this would take a bit more time.
"Normally a vampirism activation is done by transmitting great amounts of vampire blood into the blood of the victim, often happening to vampire hunters without protections after a battle, to doctors, and some vampires even donate blood to create slaves on purpose" she began, sounding a bit disgusted at the last point.
"But the intensity of the pain and the duration depends on the person and the purity of the arcane ailment stuck inside the blood of the turning vampire, though you don't need the blood, so you just get a moderate height in theoretical purity, instantly becoming, about, a fourth grade progenitor, a vampire grade zero as many people tend to call them, about four times as strong as a normal person, capable of surviving the sun, living for a long time without the head, be it that only the head would still be sentient, and a lot more." she continued for a bit, realizing she was going too far into the classifications and snapping back to the process itself as Leyk listened, picking up every little bit of new information and storing it away.
"In your case the turning itself would take at most a few minutes since you already want to become a vampire, while, with me for example, who had been part of a horrible experiment, " she paused for a small moment, " I turned over entire months..." she stopped in her tracks, though she quickly regained her energy and started over.
"My method is the very reason I am stuck in this place" she revealed, her voice dripping with venom and hate caused by many years of being stuck in this place that she had often forgotten the true count, sometimes even just picking random numbers that might fit, having long since forgotten the names of all that had been there for her after she had escaped from that place, after she had killed all those children.
"This method is the origin of the vampirism disease.. so I was banished here so that there would not be a new spread on another planet, as if to euthanize a cat because it could maybe make kittens with another, be it that I only needed normal people had I wanted to do anything." she continued on, rambling a bit near the end.
"It is a simple spell, but the catch is" she paused, " it must be cast on a corpse empty of all blood, one that has been dead for longer than a normal revival spell would allow to be used upon." she ended it, feeling a tinge of guild for not having said that before, but also a bit of pride for using him and even making him owe her something more, be it that she did not know the whole truth as Leyk was quick to answer.
"I don't know about that guy" he gestured at the winges Avere, something he was already very interested in thinking about later, or perhaps just asking the guy, " but I have taken the test over eighty years, my body was destroyed, and I was put into a corpse, I have been dead for much longer than I'd like to ever admit if I may be honest." he ended it all, venting a bit of his anger and frustration in the end, Kehit looking slightly offput but now wearing a brighter smile on her face before, a thin one that did not spread out that far to the edges of her face, one that was truly intent on helping him, feeling something that resembled accomplishment still.
"Then" she said with a grin" we can begin right away... but let me just say this as a reasoning for why the gods had been especially scared of this method spreading..." she grinned a bit as she seemingly wanted to add on something rather unrelated.
"Nobody guards the dead." she said, quickly lifting her arms as Leyk took a step back, the others watching with great interest as a deep voice began to hurl throughout the entire island, the magic of Kehit finally being fully revealed, one not based on wildness, not on circles as Rondel's, not on stones and luck such as Manug's, be it that Avere and Leyk were able to use that one too, but one based on words and power to enforce ones own will through magic and these very words bestowed with natural intent.
Nemo mortuos custodit, ergo mihi peritiam et potestatem dona ut sanguinem oblitorum, sub terra sepultorum et a vermibus ex ovis ab alia generatione positis comestorum, recuperem, ut mundo donum secundae gentis largiar.
As she had said these words it was as if time had stood still for a small moment, until Leyk simply fell over, his eyes closed, his muscles relaxed for the first few seconds before twitching violently, screams of pure pain exuded from his mouth as he felt a pain worse than any before, be it that Manug's active still cursed him to be looking fairly beautiful.
He was in great pain, one that could not be compared to any stabbing, to any slashing, to any breaking, to any poisoning, it was one of the very body the soul inhabited being destroyed and rebuild, be it that the corpse would still stay a corpse from what he had understood, he was changing in his most fundamental biology, and that could only be painful, nothing less.
Leyk did not think he was able to bleed in his current state, where he was a corpse, where his body was but a mere false lie constructed upon reality, but he did as blackish red blood slowly spewed out of him, some touching the corpses under the ground, but most returning back into him after some time when he simply laid there, unable to move, only able to curse himself for not expecting her to do it right away, thinking about all the signs that had been there, or that he could have just interrupted her chant to ask about side-effects, until he could finally stand up again.
"That was... less than I had expected..." he said reluctantly, the pain now being in the past, his anger vanishing quicker than it had even arrived.
