Ohrren and Avere staring, intent on perhaps picking up the way to becoming a vampire for a later point in time, the boy seeming aloof but now slightly twitching, as if he was talking to someone invisible, Kehit finally began to explain some of the cons in a leisurely voice, not caring that the others would hear as well, after all, they had also been listening in when Leyk had explained his few tricks when it came to reinforcement through mana, something they hadn't been able to avoid.
"First of all, perhaps the littles thing and yet the most annoying in many a case" she began, sounding slightly embarrassed, her voice a tad tired as well, "you get used to seeing blood and sometimes are even enticed to feeding on it, which doesn't sound weird for a vampire, but it is very weird when a friend was just mortally wounded, you are incredibly hungry, and you just end up subconscoiusly taking a... small nip..." she ended, sounding quite embarrassed towards the end, Ohrren shivering all over his body and touching his arms to make sure they were still there, Avere looking slightly startled as the hulking man next to him almost punched him in the face, and his wings were actually touc-
Actually, Leyk realized, why did the other Cades have wings? And maybe they went by another name now as well? Shouldn't they be human again? Wha- Oh, well, let's first talk with Kehit, he ended his thinking simply, putting the questions off for a slightly later date as Kehit continued, now sounding much less embarrassed and tired.
"After that there is the garlic allergy, but that doesn't really matter in this place, the sun is slightly irritating for our skin but that doesn't matter after the apex rank, or even just as a progenitor vampire which you would be starting as, then there is that our eyes start aching when it is too bright, but you have that mana sense thing you mentioned, then there are blessed weapons, those you have to take care off, but they are supposedly also warded to to extreme damage to beings of our... predicament" she said, each point causing her to curl a finger outwards, with her head looking upwards, her throat completely exposed, as if to signify both trust and her temporary submission, knowing the value and refuting the value of part of what Leyk had given her in terms of information, not that Avere was capable of reading that, this was just part of what Leyk had realized, almost by instinct before he went to ask her about what she meant just now.
"Before you continue" he began clearly, " what do you mean by 'our predicament'?" he hesitated slightly towards the end, Kehit wearing a sly smile on her face as she looked straight at him, her mouth already open, the vampiric teeth somehow not visible at a first glance, perhaps something she would have explained later on, took a breath, and answered his question, indicating that he owed her one more.
"This place is" she paused for a moment, as if to enhance this fairly dramatic scene, with Avere also fairly interested, his wing slightly fluttering, as if to get rid of something invisible that might have laid itself upon them akin to the snow falling from the high cloud created by the ocean's water.
"The forsaken realm, also known as the realm populated by those that the gods banished to this place, or as some, that being me and Ohrren" she nodded towards the big guy who now wore a slight smile, looking ridiculous and annoying still, " the junkyard of the gods, and one of the main things the gods prepare the ageless for in case they ever invade reality, their domains, the real worlds they care about, again..." she ended it, giving Leyk a bit of hope as Avere remained silent, digesting some of the partially new information.
"Then... there is a way out of here?" he asked.
"Perhaps, but I would not know how to... while this city that your friend" she gestured towards Avere by nodding her right shoulder, " was talking about..." she took a small pause from talking, quickly ripping her head away and returning to the original theme of the conversation, vampirism, with Leyk already having realized her attention from the small break, only Avere still being slightly lost in the way the conversation had been going until now.
"For neutral stuff, well, your teeth change a bit, so when you contract some muscles the teeth come out, mostly being normal, just a bit sharp, can cause a slight lisp for beginners, but mostly goes by in less than a few hours... then there are the yellow pupils, maybe because of the great vision in dark places, so I guess I got to tell you about the change of appearances, which might not even affect you now that I think about it..." she paused, putting a few fingers over her mouth, trying to think of more things but ending up only with the pros she could name already.
"For pros there is the fact you can easily get to food, though I don't know what you did with the tree, so that might change stuff up a bi-" she began.
"What did I do to what tree?" asked Leyk, sounding truly stunted and very much confused, only now realizing he wasn't all that hungry anymore, or at least, that his hunger and the pain of his empty stomach was at a manageable state, Kehit instantly replying with some exaggeration.
"From what I can tell you just sucked the lifeforce, or mana, whatever you prefer to call it in this case, out of the tree..." said with confused silence at the end.
"I did?" Leyk uttered into his non-existent beard, sounding truly bewildered.
"Okay..." Kehit began anew, " not regarding that very unsettling little fact that I am not yet ready to unpack, let's talk about some of the other good things, aside from strength, endurance, regeneration, like, for example, the fact that you will get even more attractive, or the fact of the matter that vampires have innate talent with blood magic, rituals, and some other things, even demonic magic, be it that I only learned tiny bits of it from a wandering guy once a long time ago..." she smiled..." I would be willing to teach you, though..." she added on, clearly expecting him to giver her somethign worthwhile in return when the time for that came, the other three still watching the verbal showdown, Avere seemingly starting to get lost, Ohrren interested and already knowing many of the things Kehit had known and told them, feeling slightly left out, the aloof boy only looking, not really caring much or thinking about it at all, still his eyes darting around silently thinking about something as they devoured all that should have normally been mirrored in them, Kehit now finally resorting to explaining the process of becoming a vampire with her method.
