He didn't even know when it had happened, but he felt himself sinking, deep into the endless ocean, the being growing bigger and bigger, his lings filling with boiling liquid that burned his skin off as soon as he touched it, exposing the nerves, but weirdly enough, not doing any harm to him, simply immobilizing him as he looked upwards at where the sky would've been in other realms, seeing nothing but an endless mass of chains convulsing thicker and thicker, a being like an angel of death descending, greater and greater, the fire more powerful and more powerful, like an endless typhoon of hatred, guilt, despair, loneliness.
Still, he had only recovered from thinking at this point, he had only just realized it, he had only realized it as he already felt that his wings were gone, replaced with a tail that vanished int he next second, he felt that he should talk, that he should convey his intent, something the other him would perhaps be more adept at, but still, he should at least try to talk with Cades, to convey the fact he wouldn't give up.
As if the being had been listening to his very words, the water seemed to almost wait from enet4ring his face, from boiling the inside of his brain, from drowning his mouth, covering it and forbidding it from sharing it's thoughts, though, in this place, bodies didn't seem to matter, he felt that he would be able to convey whatever he needed to convey quite easily, freed from the need to breathe, from the need to even just move the mouth to speak, it was simply, a world of his own consciousness, a world of intent, his intent, or rather, the intent of his former self, the intent to not let go, the intent to avenge, it was simply a world made for intent, and speaking, the intent to convey something to another, was also a form of intent.
He knew what he had to say, he knew that there was only really one thing to make Cades snap out of this, though it was a bit ridiculous, though it was senseless, he knew that he would be able to get him out of it if he said that he knew where Hecir was.
After all, Cades knew for a fact that his parents were dead, he knew with great certainty that his friends were alive, though he had not known them for long enough to seriously care about them, very much visible from the fac the had been willing to kill Mangel at that stage, this stage being a lot more insane and decrepit, but he didn't know whether his little sister was alive, whether she was dead, whether she missed him, so it was the question that would truly make him halt if for a moment, be it that Cades already knew that he had no way of knowing the answer to that question he had been asking himself for a long time now.
So, he opened his mouth wide, sharp teeth hidden inside, a two-sided tongue appearing, hindering his words from coming out, though the mouth that had seemed to be losing it's shape, just as Cades himself was, just as Kirgun himself was, was merely an instinct, merely a desire to speak using the mouth, so, it came out normally, and in the entire world where they were in, the question resounded loudly, though, in truth, while the question was as to why he would talk with him, that which was said was, of course, different.
"I know where Hecir is"
He uttered the lie, and indeed, just as Kirgun had always expected, Cades stopped for a moment, and after another, realized what he was planning to do, though he felt even greater anger brooding inside of his soul for a moment, the boiling of the sinking ocean consumed by the storm of chains growing even more vicious, his muscles already stopping to work, not that he needed those right now, just as he didn't need anything right now, or at least that was what was going on now, as he felt that the world changed instantly once more, with the chained angel, with Cades, finally, ready to speak, and his mind, finally becoming clearer, the insanity of the situation over for a moment.
But just as he did, just as he understood the fact of how he had just muttered the words that he was certain the chained angel heard, he felt his body falling, the water instantly vanishing, no, giving away, as if readying to swallow him whole, he felt how he fell, and it was darkness.
Then, there was light, and he saw countless stars, hidden in all directions, though he was certain that this also represented something, something he would rather not know about, something terrifying to his core, something that made his heart feel heavy as he looked at them.
The further he fell the more powerful the wall of wind became, his body starting to literally be ripped apart, having already been weakened by the powerful ocean, the boiling waves that had already readied him to be pulled apart, just as a normal piece of flesh would've bene, though a normal ehetrian would not know that because they don't really eat food.
Blood and guts spread across the darkness, dimly illuminated by the sleigh silver stars shining all over the place, still unfelt by Cades who was waiting for an answer, hopeful, unaware of anything that was happening, unaware that his arms had already fallen off, ripped apart by the boiling sees, thrown away by the endlessly powerful wind.
Then, he reached the bottom he had never expected to reach.
His body splattered, turned into a pancake of blood, gone, lost, turned into nothing but a slight colouring on the infinite ground, dark, silent, mirroring that which was above, not even dented by the powerful impact of the transcribes body that had just hit into it, something that should've been enough to destroy a small mountain in a normal world, under these circumstances, enough to destroy an entire village.
Cades was dead, but still, he was there.
