Arriving at the building where the Collector was, several people hid in the back and could hear the Collector begging Thanos for mercy.

Star-Lord and his companions walked forward cautiously. The moment he saw Thanos, he stopped and gestured to stop moving forward.

Star-Lord was speechless, but he couldn't do anything about them!
Gamora moved closer to investigate and discovered Thanos was alone, stepping on the Collector.
"I know you have the Reality Stone, Tivan! Hand it over now! I can save you some pain!"
The Collector made a pained expression. "I told you, I sold it! What good would lying do me?"
Thanos said with disdain, "Lying is like breathing to you!"
The Collector laughed. "Isn't this just asking for death?"
