Chapter 484 - Chapter 484: Little Spider Hit by the Train

[The surrounding environment had finally returned to normal reality, indicating that the 3rd generation Spider-Man had managed to escape from the immediate illusion field created by Beck's drone array.]

[Spider-Man landed on the concrete with considerable difficulty, his rapid and labored breathing clearly indicating that he had not yet recovered from the psychological trauma of the extended illusion sequence.]

[The next second, the sharp sound of shattering windows echoed through the area, and more than a dozen weaponized drones burst through the building's facade. The complex illusion matrix immediately enveloped him once again.]

[The glass fragments that cascaded from the sky struck the ground directly, but within the illusion they transformed into towering mirror shards more than a person's height, completely surrounding Spider-Man in a disorienting maze.]

["Oh my God! Look at yourself in these mirrors!"]

[Spider-Man stared at his reflection in the countless mirrors and slowly stretched out a trembling hand to touch the surface, but suddenly dozens of his alternate selves materialized and began viciously attacking him. Soon, Spider-Man was completely overwhelmed and pinned down by these hostile Spider-Man duplicates.]

["You're nothing but a frightened child! You're playing dress-up hero in your homemade pajamas!"]

[When Spider-Man finally struggled free from the crowd of attacking selves, he discovered that his sophisticated suit had transformed back into the crude pajamas he had originally made when he first started his heroic career. There were also several massive boulders scattered around him, and an enormous statue of Mysterio loomed imposingly in front of him.]

["The Mysterio that I created is the perfect hero! I control the truth!!! Mysterio IS the truth!!!"]

[The holographic Mysterio descended behind Spider-Man and launched a sudden attack, but Spider-Man managed to evade the assault with a desperate backflip.]

[The two opponents began an intense battle within this nightmarish illusion.]

[Spider-Man fired two strands of webbing, which passed harmlessly through the airborne Mysterio projection, but Spider-Man could feel that his silk had actually stuck to something solid, so he pulled with all his enhanced strength.]

[Unexpectedly, a massive construction crane came crashing down toward him and nearly crushed him completely.]

[The mysterious figure in the air materialized again, rapidly launching concentrated green energy waves to attack Spider-Man, forcing him to leap continuously in evasive maneuvers.]

[During this frantic sequence, he fired webbing to stick to the stone statue in order to gain leverage for a counterattack, but was struck directly by an energy blast, lost his balance in mid-air, and crashed painfully to the ground. As soon as he struggled to his feet, he found that the statue's massive arm was falling directly toward him.]

[He instinctively screamed in terror, but the enormous stone arm fell on him and dissolved into nothing more than harmless mist. He looked up in confusion and found that he was now staring at Tony Stark's memorial tombstone.]

["If you really had any ability, maybe Tony wouldn't have had to die!"]

[Spider-Man stood transfixed before the tombstone, lost in agonizing thoughts. Suddenly, a decomposing arm burst through the soil, startling Spider-Man so severely that he fell backward and scrambled away in panic.]

[Tony, wearing his tattered and damaged armor, clawed his way out of the grave and walked menacingly toward Spider-Man, even activating his suit's thrusters to achieve flight.]

[Inside the half-broken faceplate was a horrifying visage with spiders crawling across the rotting flesh, and the empty eye sockets were absolutely chilling to behold.]

[A chorus of Mysterio voices declared: "Deep down in your heart, you know I'm absolutely right!"]

[Spider-Man fled in absolute terror, but collided with an invisible barrier and tumbled into what appeared to be snow. The next second, numerous buildings rose up around him, but they were only slightly taller than his head, as if he had been transported into some kind of miniature world.]

["You made your choice! You should have just stepped aside and stayed out of the way!"]

[The camera gradually zoomed out, revealing that Spider-Man was actually trapped inside Mysterio's distinctive fishbowl helmet. Mysterio removed the helmet and held it casually in his hands.]

["But now, you can only..."]

[Suddenly, a gunshot rang out sharply, and in the real world, Quentin Beck slowly dropped to his knees, then collapsed completely to the ground. Behind him stood Nick Fury, holding a smoking pistol.]

[Several black vehicles sped to the scene, and numerous heavily armed agents emerged from the cars. They immediately pointed their weapons at Quentin Beck's motionless form on the ground.]

[Nick Fury walked slowly and deliberately toward Spider-Man.]

[Seeing that Quentin Beck had apparently been neutralized, Spider-Man finally felt a wave of relief wash over him, "Fury!"]

["Beck's accomplices are still being hunted! Anyone who knows his true identity must be questioned! Who have you told about this?" Nick Fury staggered toward Spider-Man, appearing to be affected by the gunshot wound he had sustained earlier.]

["Um..." Spider-Man hesitated, uncertain how much to reveal.]

["I know you told someone! So tell me immediately! Who did you inform? Who else knows the truth!!!"]

[Nick Fury's aggressive roar frightened Spider-Man, and he instinctively replied, "I only told my classmates MJ and Ned! Ned might have told his girlfriend Betty! No one else knows!"]

["Hehe!" Nick Fury smiled coldly and shook his head with apparent amusement.]

[Spider-Man looked at Nick Fury with growing confusion, "What's wrong?"]

["You're so incredibly gullible! You're such a... complete idiot!" The image of Nick Fury flickered and disappeared, transforming back into Quentin Beck wearing his distinctive helmet, with two armed drones hovering menacingly beside him.]

["Your friends are all going to die now!" As soon as the words were spoken, the illusion enveloped Spider-Man yet again. Spider-Man instinctively kept backing away because he could see debris constantly falling in front of him.]

[Quentin Beck walked forward with predatory confidence, "It's remarkably easy to deceive someone who consistently deceives himself!"]

[Finally, Spider-Man stopped retreating when he noticed that the falling debris had ceased.]

[Quentin Beck looked at Spider-Man with mock sympathy and said with false sincerity: "No matter what happens next, Peter! I truly am sorry it had to come to this!"]

[As soon as he finished speaking, the illusion vanished completely, but before Spider-Man could fully comprehend his situation, a speeding freight train struck him with devastating force and carried him away into the dark tunnel.]

[Watching Spider-Man disappear into the tunnel with the train, Quentin Beck was confident that Spider-Man could not possibly survive such an impact.]

["E.D.I.T.H.! Access Peter Parker's school trip files immediately! I want his entire class transferred back to London from Berlin!"]

"Oh! My God! Is he going to survive that impact?"

"Damn it! Spider-Man is being completely manipulated like a puppet!"

"How can anyone fight against this? You can't even distinguish what's real and what's an illusion!"

The multiverse audience began discussing the situation with heated concern.

Tony rubbed his temples, completely at a loss for words about what he was witnessing!

It was undeniable that Quentin Beck's illusion technology was extraordinarily sophisticated. The extremely realistic environments completely compromised a person's visual and auditory senses to a devastating degree.

But Tony couldn't shake the feeling that Spider-Man seemed far too emotionally susceptible to the illusions. Even when things were obviously fabricated, Spider-Man couldn't overcome his psychological responses. He retreated defensively when confronted with threats, which had led directly to him being forced into this impossible situation by Quentin Beck's manipulations.

At the same time

A figure in strange, otherworldly clothing materialized in a New York City alley, accompanied by brilliant interdimensional white light.

The real Mysterio looked at the towering skyscrapers before him and listened to the bustling sounds of life from the nearby streets, feeling as if he had been transported to another world entirely.

He couldn't remember how long it had been since he had witnessed such a scene of normalcy and prosperity. Ever since those genuine Elemental creatures had appeared in his dimension, his world had been nothing but chaos, destruction, and death.

But he understood that now was not the time for nostalgic reflection. Since the Sky Screen had transported him to this universe, he couldn't afford to waste precious time. He needed to establish a clear objective first - settling the score with that fraudulent impostor who had stolen his identity and dishonored everything he stood for!

But before he could confront the liar, he would need to seek assistance since he was completely unfamiliar with this reality. Fortunately, he could easily identify the iconic buildings of New York City in the distance just by looking up at the skyline.
