He had been trapped in this high tower for many long years. Except for the bottom of the tower, which he had never discovered, every detail of the twelve floors above he knew intimately; the murals on the first floor were etched deeply in his mind.
Yet, it was only now that he truly understood the essence of the ascension illustration among the murals.
In the painting, the fated one and the one inside the tower, their forms overlapped as they rang the great bell, invoking the phenomena of ascension.
This overlapping could easily be seen as two people facing the great bell, standing one in front of the other, the painting's perspective coming from behind them, seemingly to emphasize that there were two people, thus portraying another figure within the form of the one inside the tower.
