Darren's POV
Janet and I slept for the rest of the flight, showering a few minutes before we landed. I had initially planned to go to a hotel, but it was pointless to waste any more time. Adriana had arranged a car for me at the airport, so I threw our bags in and drove off.
Janet kept smiling in the passenger seat, humming an old Latin song about love and domination. I let her have this moment, keeping the stereo off.
"So what's the plan when we get there?"
"Well, everything solely depends on Jason. If I'm right, he wouldn't be in the mood to talk. He'd rather attack me with a stake than sit down to talk."
"You can't go fighting him. You're here to take his daughter away, so you need his permission."
"Correction. I needed his permission. Victoria is already marked, so if he insists that I can't take her the right way, I can always be strong-handed."
"Breaking and entering?"
