Davi stared, caught off guard, as Vesta appeared out of nowhere like a sudden storm. Then she was there, marching straight toward Inanna with fury burning in her eyes.
"Fine," she growled. "If you're so sure about him, then let's test it."
Her eyes locked onto Davi's, her voice like steel. "I challenge you to a duel. Right here, right now. No holding back."
"I will kill you right now and prove you have no chance of becoming the hero my mother wants!"
Inanna stepped forward, her voice cutting through the tension like a gentle breeze. "Wait, Vesta," she said, her tone firm yet soothing. "It's my decision, so I will not accept intervention."
She turned to Davi with a light smile. "You don't need to accept this challenge. There's no reason to force his hand."
Davi shook his head, his expression hardening with determination. "No, Inanna. I have to prove myself. If I'm going to earn your trust, or anyone's, I need to face this head-on. I can't back down now."
