Amelia turned her eyes back to the image of the two colossal beasts, her expression unreadable. Then, with a slow breath, she spoke again.
"I can deal with this."
Inanna finally looked up, a flicker of doubt in her eyes. "Alone?"
"No," Amelia said plainly. "But I won't be alone. Enki still has sharp fangs. I just need to make sure they're pointed in the right direction."
She stepped closer to Inanna, folding her arms.
"How much time do I have before those things become a real threat? Days? Hours?"
Inanna hesitated, then shook her head slightly. "It's hard to say. They're moving slowly for now, and they don't seem to know where to find humans."
Her brow furrowed as her gaze drifted, losing focus on the room around her. She leaned forward, resting her chin on her hand.
