Aurelia felt rather lonely without Cedric around, yet she still had work to do. While her duties were delegated to her trusted Angels, she still wished to do something for Cedric while he was fighting Chrunus.
She found herself in her office, surrounded by her Angelic guardians, yet they were silent as she tried to think of the best way forward when it came to infidel kingdoms. If she were to unify the entirety of humanity, the Valar would become a true empire under God.
Other than Valar, there were two more human Kingdoms, those of Zigurat and Salac. They were much weaker than the Valar and rather small, yet they were one of the few kingdoms ruled by humanity.
However, they were under the firm influence of Chrunus; thus, she had a duty to conquer them and bring them into the fold of Christianity. It was her duty, and it was what she had planned to do.
Cedric had promised her a kiss after he had returned, thus she truly wished to prove worthy of such a reward. Initially, she had planned to send Grahm as the commander and one who would be responsible, yet it was necessary for her to prove that she, too, was a powerful leader.
Over the past two days, she had spent time summoning Archangels and principalities. The same entities that her beloved had access to would make sure the resistance was almost non-existent, while she could have used diplomacy, it was far too slow when Iguva was about to invade.
While she had no access to more powerful Greater Angels, it did not matter. The humanity was incapable of handling even a single Archangel without major loss, and they had no way to damage Principalities.
She thought for a moment before she planted her palm over her face. "I am such an idiot sometimes." She sighed, 'What if they have powerful elementals?'
"I disagree, my Lady. You thinking of such a possibility is wise, even if that thought came by later on." Lucious bowed slightly.
The queen couldn't help but smile at her advisor's usual reassurance. Whenever she had doubts, Lucious was there to reassure and advise her.
Aurelia placed her hands on the armrest and pushed herself up. Her personal Angelic legion would march toward both Zigurat and Salac. They would either fall in line or be conquered by her husband's forces.
Her hands were clasped together, and her eyes closed. "God, please guide your soldiers so that they may unify humanity in the battle against the forces of evil."
She gestured for her guardians to follow her as she made her way out of the palace. Grahm would be in charge of taking over Salac as it was weak enough for even the fourth legion to deal with; of course, Aurelia did not intend to leave him alone.
The squad of principalities would be granted to Grahm, who would use them to bring Salac while she conquered Zigurat. While she was rather nervous about leading an expedition into the infidel kingdom, it was a necessity.
A first crusade against infidels in the name of her beloved would be conducted by her, and her future husband would surely be proud of her. For all it mattered, it was what she cared about the most.
Aurelia wished Cedric to be proud of her and to shower her with compliments. She couldn't hold down her blush as she quickly made her way toward the general's office.
It was a rather large building made of marble and stone, yet it paled in comparison to he palace. This was the place where generals of all four legions gathered to discuss the plans and assign duties appropriate to each.
The goal was to meet Akshan, the general of the first legion, and use him as the vanguard against Zigurat if they refused to bend the knee. The man never respected her; however, that did not matter now.
She was not the same Aurelia he knew; she was God's Chosen's wife, and she would make him treat her that way.
She inhaled sharply as she approached the large wooden door, and with a gentle push, it creaked open. She adjusted herself as she strode inside the building's halls. Multiple silver chandeliers hung above her, yet their lights were soft.
She passed many doors and officers who merely saluted her as their training dictated; however, she was not there for them. Soon she made her way inside a large room with a circular table.
"Greetings, gentlemen." She stepped in, closely followed by her guardians. The generals who gathered looked at her in surprise.
"Ah, your majesty. We had expected you. Please join us." Akshan was one who gestured for her to take a seat.
Her gaze washed over the gathered men, the generals of the 1st legion and the 4th were gathered and ready to discuss the conquest.
The queen took the seat and stared at Akshan, then at Grahm. "You two are needed. and will be in charge of invading both Salac and Zigurat. Is there any confusion?"
She glared at the duo with a piercing gaze. There was no place for disobedience.
"Your majesty, you are talking about invading two kingdoms. May I ask why?" Akshan raised his brow as he leaned forward.
"Because they are still under the rule of Chrunus, we will liberate them and bring them under the fold of Christianity." She placed her hands on the table and stared at Akshan.
Grahm sighed, "Are you sure that is wise? You told us that the Demi-Human Empire will invade soon."
"That is precisely why I want to unify humans under our holy flag!" She exclaimed with pride, infusing her voice.
The two generals looked at each other. Akshan rubbed his chin before he spoke. "And how do you plan to do it?"
"The first legion and my Angelic legion will take over Zigurat if they refuse my ultimatum, and Salac will be dealt with by Grahm and the fourth, of course, with the help of Angels." She grinned widely.
This was the beginning of something great.
