After all was done and finished, only the Saints and a number of Angels remained to repair and regrow what once was. Natura and Octavia walked into the endless brown expanse. A Sun shone above them due to the Ruler's changes, and the skies were cloudless blue.
"Natura, I and you have a lot of work to do. You spoke that your old forests took most of these lands?"
Natura nodded. It was an absolute truth, her forests took the majority of the divine realm with other domains acting as the balancers, "You are correct, Lady Octavia."
"Drop the Lady, we are now comrades." Octavia smiled as she threw her parasol over her shoulder.
"Bu..." Natura found a finger on her lips.
"Shh, we are now colleagues. Nature and water, is it not perfect?"
Natura's ears slumped down as her face gained a red hue, "I guess so." She inhaled deeply, "No, I absolutely agree! We are perfect together!"
Octavia's smile widened as she put her hand over Saintess's shoulder and pulled her under her parasol.
"Good, so now shall we continue with the forestation?" Octavia's word made Natura nod her head as if she were an excited little girl.
The dark, stormy clouds blotted out the sun as the tempest approached. After a single thunderstrike, a torrent of most holy water hit the empty fertile soil.
Two women stopped as Natura stepped outside the parasol. While Octavia's rain had restored and made many of the plants grow, Natura needed to rebuild the forests. She was tired of being useless, and thus, this was her duty.
While other Saints were busy rebuilding their own pockets, her quest was to restore the entirety of the new Holy Lands.
She inhaled sharply as the holy rain washed over her. Her hair and clothing were drenched, yet she cared not. The flowers bloomed around her, yet it was merely a beginning.
[Nature Domain: Everbloom]
A soft wind coiled around her as a faint green aura radiated from the Natura's body. After a moment, it expanded like a tidal wave.
The soft breeze that was the emerald energy washed over the newly healed land. In an instant, the saplings appeared from thin air, and when the holy water hit them, their growth was instant.
A large variety of trees filled the land around them. The holy water dripped down their leaves as nature was restored at long last.
A tear rolled down her cheek as it mixed with the holy water. She had prayed for this moment for so long. The era of misery that seemed to stretch into eternity had ended due to the kindness of Angels and their Father.
However, one person she was the most grateful for was the Lady who stood next to her, and whose rain was responsible for making the forests bloom once more.
Her hands travelled to her chest as her lips widened into a smile, her heart beat faster, yet she did not deny her feelings. "Nature truly is beautiful."
The heroine who saved her moved closer to her as she raised her hands toward the sky. The nature that came about by the actions of Cedric's forces was many times more powerful. Someone like Chrunus would never again dare step inside the eternal forests.
No matter what, she would not let herself be enslaved and her nature ruined. The forests spread through the divine realm at speeds surpassing the sound. The wave of emerald would nourish and grow a jungle of plants.
Yet while her beloved forests were back, the animals still did not exist.
She had to carefully construct the ecosystem that would bloom forevermore. After a moment of ecstasy at the fact that her forests were back, she turned to Octavia, "Octavia, we should go visit my lily. I wish to see how it is doing."
Octavia stared at her in silence.
She puffed out her cheeks slightly while she tapped her fingers together. "Would you go with me?"
Octavia brought her hand in front of her mouth and let out a hearty chuckle. "Sure, why not. Thou needn't ask."
Natura squealed for a moment before she jumped at Octavia and hugged her tightly, "Let's go!"
She let go, and with a happy skip, she led Octavia toward the place where Natura's tears first fell. The very point where the last bit of the old order remained.
Yet as the duo approached, they did not bear witness to a withering or even a weak flower. In front of them was a lily with a height rivaling Natura. Its petals were not orange but instead were made of light.
Natura stepped forward while Octavia remained behind. She would not interrupt Natura's moment.
"You are alive," Her hands hovered over the petals as a trail of happy tears flowed down her cheek, "And so beautiful..."
"Thou must be confused why it seemeth to be made of light." Octavia dispelled her parasol and approached the girl, who merely nodded.
"Yes, it does not resemble the old order at all." She made a crooked smile, "I guess it is because I was rewritten."
"Very perceptive." She leaned next to Natura as she sniffed the flower, "It had contained so much of thy essence that it was practically an extension of thou. Just as thou art rewritten to be a being of holy light, so was the flower."
Natura sobbed, her body squirmed as if she was about to burst into tears, yet the only emotion she felt was that of joy. She turned toward her savior and approached with a bashful expression,"Octavia."
Octavia pulled Natura closer to herself. "Tell me."
"I think... I really like you." Natura's ears twitched, and her face turned red as she pushed herself closer to Octavia. She nuzzled her face against her as she tightened her hug.
Octavia's lips stretched into a line as she gently patted Natura's head, "I like thou, too."
After a moment of warm embrace, Natura stepped back and adjusted her shoulderers, "Thank you for everything, I hope we can continue to work together forever."
"Likewise." Octavia grinned as she turned her back to Natura. "Shall we continue with the seeding of this world?"
With a nod, Natura quickly ran after the powerful cherub.
