Daxter recalled the gentle words of his wife, a warning he had once ignored. "Let it go, Daxter. End this. Talk to Lucas calmly. Ask him to clear Evelyn's name. Don't drown yourself in revenge."
Veronica knew. She knew everything about Daxter's vengeance, the old wounds he kept nursing, the plan for revenge he had nurtured for years. Veronica never supported it. She just wanted her husband to stop, so they could live in peace.
