It was afternoon, and usually this time is the quietest time inside the guild, as many wizards would be outside doing missions. But today the guild was packed full with all of its members. Everyone was inside the guild waiting in silence, unlike their usual rowdy personality.

The reason for this sudden change is that they are waiting for Cornelia's treatment to be over. As for why they didn't wait near the emergency treatment room, well, they didn't want to get scolded by an angry grandma.

And besides, they also have the important task of keeping Gildarts from running towards the treatment room. This man, for no apparent reason, seemed to be like a cat as he tried to go inside numerous times.

Although everyone knew that Gildarts was a lovesick person, they never expected this guy would be this bad. If one didn't know, they would seriously think that Gildarts is a mother who wanted to see her long-lost son.

Fortunately, they had Makarov to keep this guy in check, or else Gildarts would have already gone inside the room in a daze and disturbed the treatment process.

Just as time was slowly ticking, the door to the emergency room was opened, and Akira walked out.

And just before he could open his mouth to say anything, he felt a gush of wind, and he lifted into the air by a bloodshot-eyed Gildarts.

" Akira is Cornelia Okay , did the treatment work " Gildarts asked questions in rapid succession, not giving Akira any chance to speak.

" The treatment was a success. Aunt Cornelia's health is getting better, and although she still hasn't regained her consciousness, she will be able to walk in the next few days, " Akira said.

" Really, hahahaha. Yes, yesss". Hearing this, Gildarts was so happy that he began to dance while still carrying Akira.

The others also cheered happily as they heard Akira's words. The whole guild was just about to start a party before an angry shout silenced all of them.

" You all shut up; there is a patient here "

~ 2 years later ~

" Aunt Cornelia, I want to take this quest, " Akira said as he placed a quest sheet on the reception desk.

" Oh, a B-class mission. Hmm, this one needs you to go to the Bargo town in the Northern mountain region". Cornelia, the new guild receptionist, frowned as she held a quest paper in her hand. " You know, Akira, for this type of quest, you need to ask the master's permission. Especially after the last mission you went out "

" Come on, Aunt Cornelia, can you guys forget about that? I mean, didn't I just destroy a major criminal group? And besides, didn't Master just go to the annual guild master's meeting yesterday? It would take at least three days for the Master to come back from that meeting. " Akira said with a bit of dissatisfaction.

" Yes, but the master instructed me that under no circumstances would you be allowed to go too far from Magnolia. The last time you went on a faraway mission, you took down a major crime organisation with many of their leaders, some of whom were even connected to the Magic Council. So right now, the number of enemies that are coming after your head is no small number, and this may include people from the magic council. You know that incident was a major hit to their reputation. " Cornelia said as she ignored Akira's dissatisfaction.

"Well, it's not my fault that I came across those criminals trying to kidnap a little girl. I mean, as a mage, isn't it my duty to destroy all evil? So to do that, I have to destroy the organisation from its roots. " Akira said righteously.

" Yes, but no one asked you to go and beat that councilor all by yourself while causing a major commotion. You know if Master and Gildarts didn't come in time, you may have been declared a criminal. " Cornelia said with a tired sigh.

"But I had all the evidence I needed. " Akira said not willing to back down.

" Then you should have just informed the master about it and let him handle it. Unlike you, Master has the title of being one of the Ten Great Wizard Saints. And with his position, it isn't hard for him to handle this matter without provoking the whole magic council. " Cornelia said as she began to do her work.

" But with Master's personality, wouldn't he do the same as me and barge into the Magic Council and beat the councilor up? " Akira asked, not convinced at all.

" Of course not. Well, Master would probably not do that. " Cornelia said weakly she was not very confident about this. As someone who had seen the evidence Akira collected, she was so shocked and angry at all the atrocities that the council member had committed with his authority. And frankly speaking, she herself wanted to go and give that councilor a punch herself. And she was not the only one at that time.

She still remembered the dark and gloomy look the master had when he read the reports Akira sent. The kind old man was so angry that even his usual warm aura turned into an overwhelming pressure.

If the old man wasn't worried about Akira's safety at that time, then he might actually join Akira in beating that councilor to death.

" So anyway, come on, Aunt Cornelia, can't you make an exception? Let me go on this quest. I really need to gather some materials urgently. You know I'm about to open my shop next month," Akira said as he used his puppy dog eyes on Cornelia.

Hearing this, Cornelia hesitated. During these past few years, Akira had gone on various missions to collect many other materials for his shop. And in fact, the reason why he wanted these materials was that he had already secured some orders from all the guild members. And during the times he went on missions, he didn't forget to show off his amazing inventions to advertise for his shop.

And Akira had planned to open his shop so he could officially enter the market. You know, for most of the last years, many people, both guild members and others, were eager to see what types of magic tools Akira's shop would show them.

And Cornelia was also one of them. She knew firsthand how amazing Akira's products are, as she herself received many magic tools as presents. Especially the humidifying tool that would allow her to keep her skin very moist all the time.

You know this product was a massive hit amongst women who have dry skin. Most of these women don't have time to go for skincare routines, so a magic tool like this is very helpful for them.

Just as Cornelia was struggling with what to do, someone came to her rescue.

" Hey, why don't I go with Akira then? I'm sure the master wouldn't mind it. " Wakaba, who had just come back from a mission, spoke.

" Well, I guess that would be fine, " Cornelia thought about it and spoke. Wakaba is strong and experienced enough to handle most situations, even if things get to the scale of S-class missions.

And like that, Cornelia approved the mission for Akira, not knowing that this would once again cause a massive commotion in the future.
