Although he doesn't know much about his parents, Shinji is positive they had strong Bantu origins. Also, from his father naming his brother Nkomo Tabani, and his mother naming him Ngirozi Kokusei, Shinji is positive there were descendants of the people who used to live in a country called Zimbabwe, in Southern Africa —according to the First Tama-Artist.
To further confirm this, there is a Zimbabwean proverb they said when they sold Tabani.
"The one who sets traps in ashes, isn't afraid to get his ass dirty."
What's the point of being tidy, when you know you will get dirty, when checking the traps? Although this proverb can be used to describe his mud drenched clothes, it's more fitting to describe the way he is.
The moment he took on the [Torture] path, the young man decided to live behind the Shinji of the past, who is probably trapped right now. At this moment, he has decided to shape his character, not to be shaped by the world.
Why is he suffering?!
