Suspicious, Gwen eyed her companion, then reluctantly stepped aside to reveal Mike.
Mira extended her hand politely. "Hello, Mr. Kent!"
"Hello."
Mike shook her hand briefly.
Mira adjusted her glasses, and without warning, activated her clairvoyant ability.
The next second, she cried out in delight.
"Wow! So blessed! So perfect, that thing is just—"
"Shut up!"
Gwen, blushing furiously, clapped a hand over Mira's mouth and shouted, "Say one more word and I'll tear your mouth off!"
Mira quickly nodded, mumbling indistinctly, "I promise I won't say anything."
Gwen snorted and let her go.
Rubbing her mouth, Mira suddenly asked Gwen, "So… do you need a stepmother?"
"Go to hell!"
"Ahhh!"
