"No, no you're seeing things," Luna said fast. She would not accept such a reality; that scared her.
"He really is Luna," Nora replied sympathetically.
Luna shook her head in denial. "I can't accept that."
"Sorry, Luna, I don't think it's up to you with a man like Ace."
"You don't have to be sorry, Nora. It's just too much for me to take."
"I can only imagine."
Luna took a hard deep breath and went up to their table, She went up to Ace. He seemed to be surprised.
"May I please have a word with you, Sir, in private?"
Luna had made up her mind as to what she wanted to do with him. She didn't care about how everyone was looking at her.
This was between her and Ace; if they had a problem, they could block them, but knew they wouldn't as they would face Ace's wrath.
"Sure."
"This way, Sir."
He got up, and Luna went back outside and closed the balcony door. She decided to close the curtains so there was no way they could see them.
She looked at him as he leaned on the balcony; he was carved by the gods. He was cruelly handsome.
Luna took a deep breath. "This has to stop."
"Carry on," Ace replied, his tone cold.
What had happened in such a short period? Why was he now scarily different? but that would not stop her from getting her point across.
"You can't force me, It's not my fault that you want sex from me, and I will not have sex with someone that I'm not in love with."
"Then be in love with me."
"And it can't be a one-sided love."
"Now I see the dilemma."
He said it as if he did not care, "Yes, so I would appreciate it if you would stop harassing."
"And if I said no?"
"Then it will show how pathetic you are."
He took a step towards her. "What did you say?"
Time for her to bargain or threaten him like he always did to her,
"I will scream if you lay a hand on me."
He shrugged, "Then go ahead."
Her jaw dropped. He didn't care one bit if she screamed? This man was scary, violently scary.
"Aren't you afraid of what people would think?"
He shrugged, "I don't give a fuck."
Luna saw that there was no way out, so she would just have to take his wrath head on,
"Fine, go ahead, a couple of bruises won't hurt."
"Who said you will be able to walk?"
Luna felt faint, as Ace walked towards her, she would not back down. He now stood in front of her, and his scent had taken over.
She was smaller now that he was in front of her, and she looked at him in the eye so that he would know that she was not backing down.
His hand reached, and she closed her eyes, his hand fell on her cheek. His touch was gentle, and Luna opened her eyes slowly.
He seemed to have something different in him; was she imagining it? As cold as his face was, his touch was warm.
How could she feel such an emotion from him?
"I won't hurt you, do you understand?"
Luna nodded in relief and something else, "Thank you."
His other hand went around her waist, and she was about to protest when his lips met hers. She struggled, but he wouldn't stop.
He pulled back when he was satisfied, and she slapped him,
"I'm with someone, and I refuse for you to force me."
She stormed back inside and went to Nora.
"How did it go?"
"He is sickening Nora, what can I do?"
"I could help if you want."
"I don't want you to be in trouble."
"Sorry, Luna, he is a bastard."
"Tell me about it."
"What does William say?"
"He stood up to him, but I had not seen Ace for a month, so I thought he had given up."
"Did he tell you why he is this way?"
"He says he can't help it."
"So, does he want to be with you?"
"No, he just wants sex and kissed me by force."
"The audacity of this man! I mean, most girls would want to be in his bed. So why bother you?"
"Nora, Luna, get back to work."
"Sienna is such a b with an itch." Nora whispered to her.
They laughed and went. She did not look at Ace but carried on serving, glad when he was now conversing with other people at his table.
Finally, her shift ended, and when she got outside, Luna found Ace and others standing. She wanted to slip away.
She didn't want any more drama from him and his concubines.
"Luna." He called out to her.
