Evan really hoped nobody would laugh at him now. After feeling what he did from the snake, he went to the Queen's wardrobe room and put on one of her dresses followed by a wig. He finished the assembly off with a sash so he would have place for his Ninjato and Wakizashi. Looking in a mirror Evan amusedly thought all he needed now was an eyepatch and he would look like a Pirate Queen! He really, REALLY hoped nobody was watching. AND he hoped the Queen would forgive him for using her stuff.
Evan quickly re-centered himself – this was NOT the time to freak out. He began pacing, loudly, back and forth in the Queens wardrobe room, waiting for the snake to make its way toward him. Once he felt it in the corridor, Evan took a quick step outside the wardrobe room into the corridor, then turned around and went back in. The snake exuded excitement. It had seen its prey and quickly moved forward. Evan then walked quickly toward the Queens Bedroom, where the trap was set, and leapt over the trap. The snake followed. The snake entered the bedroom and paused. Its target was waiting by the window. It could see her in her dress.
Slowly, quietly, the snake moved forward. It wanted to move along the wall but the ground surface in that direction was very uncomfortable and appeared to be blocked by furniture. It tried the other side with similar results, so it moved quietly forward. Its only way forward appeared to be through the pipe. It raised its head up ever so quietly to see if there was a way over this obstacle, and found none. It moved forward, cautiously, inch by inch. It sensed no danger, so continued on. After passing a little more than half way through the pipe it pushed against a protrusion and, in a flash, the pipe and snake disappeared.
"Snake away" he said in his comm. Then Evan disappeared as well.

January 1, 1996, CTCRM Base, Gas Mask Training Compound ~09:30am. The Gas-Mask Training Compound had a minor facelift – it now sported a 10-foot high chain-linked fence around it. Just outside this fence were deployed 30 members of the Royal Marines Readiness Unit; each equipped with special mirror-style sunglasses and armor-piercing bullets for their weapons. The Commander, General Black, and Madam Bones waited with the troops. Prior to the troops arriving, Madam Bones warded the building from outgoing portkeys and apparition. The exhaust from a jeep had been continuously filling the interior of the building, the landing zone for the snakes, for the last hour, thus removing the oxygen and adding deadly carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon fumes.
The Commander heard not one, but two "snake away" confirmations, and yelled out "INCOMING". A moment later both the Sensei and Midshipman Fenix appeared just outside the fence line. A burst of guffaws and snickering could be heard a second later.
Evan landed on his feet and, as the magic of the portkey left him, he could hear guffaws and snickering. He looked up at the faces of the troops, the Commander, the General and Madam Bones all looking back at him. Madam Bones in particular looked amused, with the edges of her mouth twitching up. He looked at Sensei and saw that he too was trying not to smile. Seeing his reflection in Sensei's sunglasses he understood. "What? I had to role play to get the damn snake in the trap. Haven't you all not seen someone in disguise before?" he yelled out. Evan was sorely tempted to remove the white-haired wig from his head, the dress he was wearing over his fatigues and a necklace of beads from around his neck. "Click, click, click" he heard coming from somewhere on the right. Looking in that direction, he saw the Commander with a camera in his hand. "Blackmail material, Sir? Really?" he asked. "No, Midshipman, I'm documenting use of Royal Property, just in case Her Royal Majesty requests." The Commander replied. The General and Madam Bones were quick to add "I want a copy as well, Commander!"
After approximately 10 minutes, they checked the bunkhouse monitor for any movement inside. Both snakes appeared to be partially coiled, but no other movement was observed. They waited another 10 minutes before Midshipman Fenix was ordered to open the door. Sensei waited by his side. They continued to wait a moment after opening the door. When no movement was apparent, Midshipman Fenix began entry.
Evan stood briefly in the doorway as he prepared to enter the bunkhouse room. A missile appeared to shoot out at him from the depths of the smoke. He just had enough time to begin falling backward into a roll when the steel cylinder grazed his chest, throwing him back several feet. As he was falling he did what felt natural – he did a backwards roll; his knees rolled along the underside of the snake propelling the snake overhead as he completed his roll, drawing his Ninjato. The snake's body fell in three pieces – Both Evan and Sensei sheathed their swords at the same time. Evan heard a voice saying "I must tell Master the Queen is dead". Evan quickly threw two flashbang balls into the room, drew his Ninjato once again, and …..thud….followed by an eerie scream.
