Seeing the crazed look in his eyes,Lady Halwen immediately turned to run for her dear life. Her heels echoed like thunder against the marble floor. She regretted wearing heels today because it was slowing her down. She screamed for help as she ran down the hall hoping to reach the guards before he got to her. She had told her guards to wait outside for her and now she wished she hadn't told them to. Panicked gasps escaped her lips as Zorian lunged after her,his blood smeared blade glinting under the lantern illuminating the hallway.
Servants who had been cleaning and tending to the garden screamed as they scrambled for their lives. They didn't know what had gotten into their prince. Courtiers pressed themselves against the walls,hands gripping their chest as they stared at the prince in horror as he pursued Lady Halwen.
