The talk with Atlas goes well. They talk about a lot of other things too, not just about Acnologia, which lifts the Fire Dragon's mood.
It has been a long time since he can have a fun conversation like this because the Giants see him as a Deity, so they are always respectful to him and would never talk about mundane stuff which sometimes makes him lonely.
Because Atlas is happy, the Giants are also happy. They were wary of Alex at the beginning, but now they throw a party and welcome him like an old friend.
During the party, Alex decides to ask the Giants if someone with pinkish Ice Magic has ever visited this village. Silver might have come but didn't freeze this place now, so he needs to be sure.
But as expected, there's no one like that. Even when Alex describes Silver's appearance, the Giants still say that there's no one like that coming here.
Now he's not sure whether he needs to wait or just leave after warning the Giants because he doesn't know how long he needs to wait until Silver comes.
For now, he decides to warn the Giants about Silver by telling them that Silver is a dangerous Devil Slayer who roams around killing demons.
The Giants are confused because it has nothing to do with them as there is no demon here. But then Alex tells them that some of Silver's victims weren't even demons.
"He just killed whatever looked demonic without confirming whether they were truly demons or not. I've hunted many demons myself, so I've seen many creatures that looked demonic but actually weren't demons. That's why I always confirmed if they were truly demons or not and I don't just kill any demons. Only the ones created by Zeref or those who kill people. But that guy, he is consumed by his hatred for demons after his family was killed by a Demon from The Book of Zeref and he just killed demons indiscriminately. He won't even ask and just kill everything that looks like demons."
Alex says it while looking at Atlas and everyone immediately understands what he means. Indeed, Atlas doesn't look like a Dragon at all now. From outsiders' perspectives, he might look closer to a fire demon than a fire dragon.
"I heard he has been roaming around this area for a while. That's why I am worried that he might attack this village after seeing Eternal Flame."
"Don't worry, we will stop him." The Giants flex their muscular arms, but Alex knows they can't defeat Silver.
"Hmm, how about this? I'll stay for a week. If he still hasn't come, then I'll leave. But I need you to quickly tell him that Atlas is a Dragon, not a demon. His power is incredible, so it's better if you don't fight him. Oh, actually, let me call my Dragon Slayer friends. Atlas agrees to teach them a few things, so maybe they can stay a little longer than me. They'll be able to stop him if he suddenly comes."
Alex decides to call the Dragon Slayers to come here tomorrow. They should be able to stop and even capture Silver if he retaliates. Alex really wants to find Tartaros HQ and the only way he knows is through Silver.
So the next day, Alex calls Laxus to bring the Dragon Slayers to the Sun Village, including Sting and Rogue. He tells Laxus that there is a remnant soul of a Dragon here that agrees to teach them a few things about Dragon Slayer Magic.
Hearing that, Laxus immediately agrees because he also wants to improve his skills. But of course, they can't come right away because some of them are still working.
Alex needs to wait, but it doesn't matter. He can talk more with the Giants. They are a warrior race, specialized in physical power even though they also can use magic a little.
Their physical power is incredible even for their size, so Alex wants to know if they have special training methods for their physiques. Maybe he can learn their methods and train his physical power even further.
But just the night after calling Laxus, Alex senses a strong presence approaching the village. He can sense demonic magic from this person even from miles away.
So Alex quickly rushes out of the village while everyone else is sleeping. He leaves sneakily, but Ultear still finds out and follows him.
"Is it him?" Ultear asks after leaving the village.
"Not sure. I never met him personally, so I can't tell if it's his magic power that I sense."
"Ice Devil Slayer, huh? Interesting."
Ultear who uses Ice Magic is obviously interested in Ice Devil Slayer Magic. She might even want to learn it which might be possible for her because she has even learned Ice God Slayer Magic by developing his Water God Slayer Magic.
After mastering Water God Slayer Magic to a high level, Ultear tried to develop Ice God Slayer Magic using her Water God Slayer Magic as the base.
She used the core principles of God Slayer Magic and combined them with Ice Magic. It took a few years to do it, but she succeeded in learning Ice God Slayer Magic without using the Ice God Slayer Magic Book that might not even exist.
Ultear is truly a genius. Too bad that she took the wrong path in the series. Fortunately, she met Alex in this reality and got saved, so she could walk a better path.
Alex and Ultear finally find the source of that presence. It's a middle-aged man wearing armor and Alex immediately knows that he is Silver even though he never saw Silver in real life. He's being very sure when seeing what's written on Silver's armor's left chest.
"Who are you?!" Silver is surprised when both of them suddenly appear.
"So it's really you, Absolute Zero from Tartaros."
Silver is even more surprised when Alex calls his current name. He immediately thinks of them as enemies and attacks using his Ice Devil Slayer Magic. He tries to freeze both of them and the area around them.
Pinkish ice spreads very fast toward Alex and Ultear. Alex just watches and doesn't do anything. But then, black ice shoots out of the ground and breaks Silver's Ice Devil Slayer Magic quite easily.
The black ice can be traced to Ultear's feet. She doesn't even move and just uses her magic from her feet. Her control is just incredible and her Ice God Slayer Magic is just too strong against Silver's magic.
Ultear even manages to freeze Silver's body in an instant, leaving only his head unfrozen. Silver tries to break the black ice, but he can't even crack it. He is surprised that he can feel the cold of the black ice because he has cold immunity as a Ice Devil Slayer.
"It's useless. My Ice God Slayer Magic has a higher tier than your Ice Devil Slayer Magic. Unless your base power is stronger than me, you won't be able to break my ice."
"..... Sigh, hurry up and kill me then."
"That's easy, but we're not in a rush. I need to ask a few things to you." Alex approaches Silver, making him wary, but he really can't do anything against Ultear's ice.
"I know your real identity and background, Silver Fullbuster."
It's not just Silver who's surprised now, but Ultear too.
"Fullbuster?! Isn't that Gray's family name?" Ultear asks in surprise.
"It is. This guy is Gray's father."
"What?! But wasn't Gray's family got killed by Deliora and only he survived?" Of course, Ultear can't believe it.
"They were. But he got resurrected by a member of Tartaros and even given Ice Devil Slayer Magic, isn't that right, old man?"
Both Silver and Ultear get even more surprised. They don't know how Alex can know this much.
"How do you even know this?"
"I have my way. It doesn't really matter, alright? What's matter is I'm correct about this."
Ultear knows Alex wants to hide it, so she doesn't pursue it although she still looks at him suspiciously.
On the other hand, Silver seems shaken. He tries to hide it, but he also seems very relieved when knowing that Alex and Ultear are Gray's friends.
He has watched the Grand Magic Games together with the other Tartaros members to check on Alex's abilities, so he knows that Gray is still alive and now he also finally recognizes Alex.
"I thought I recognized your face from somewhere. So you are Alex The Hero. Tartaros has really put a lot of attention to you."
"Is that so? Heh, it's good that they know me then. It will make destroying them worth more." Alrx smirks smugly.
"So you really are targeting them." Silver narrows his eyes.
"That's the reason I kept destroying their Sub-Guilds and even waited for you here. I need to know their location. They are very secretive about it and it's hard to chase a moving base."
Alex doesn't hide the fact that he is targeting Tartaros.
"So old man, how about we make a deal?"
