"Edward," I felt my entire body become clammy with sweat as I started to tremble from panic and heartbreak. The feeling of betrayal I thought I felt before now being topped with an emotion I was sure I had never experienced before.
Edward didn't take a second to stand from the couch he was seated at to kneel in front of me. His hands taking my left one to press against his heart that beat frantically. "Baby, I- I promise you it's not what you think. I've been wanting to marry you for a long time. It's been in my head since the first time you woke up next to me. I just- this was a good catalyst to why it should happen."
I looked at him in shock. "What the hell are you talking about? You marry someone because you love them. Not because their Dad is the biggest fraud ever seen. Are you delusional?"
