Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Arlong’s Crew Annihilated! Navy Branch 16 Nuked!

Lightning.

The most violent elemental force between heaven and earth.

In terms of raw offensive power, it reigns supreme.

In this world, even users of the Rumble-Rumble Fruit can't kill with electricity alone.

But Sullivan's Lightning Dragon Slayer Magic is different.

When facing someone like Arlong—a pure brute—

Sullivan unleashed the mightiest form of Dragon Slayer lightning without a hint of mercy.

Arlong was utterly annihilated.

Under the overwhelming lightning force, his body charred and shattered into pieces.

This sudden and shocking scene left everyone present in stunned silence.

No one knew how much time had passed before—

"He's dead… d-dead!"

"Big Bro Arlong… Big Bro is dead!"

"The boss was killed by that human!"

"That guy's a monster!"

"Run! Run!"

The once-arrogant Fishman crew, who relied on Arlong's might to act with impunity, scattered in all directions like headless flies.

"If I let you escape, the name of Fairy Tail would be disgraced!"

Sullivan said calmly.

As he spoke—

"Lightning Bullets!"

Tiny bolts of lightning, accompanied by blinding flashes, shot outward one after another.

Thunderous explosions followed in rapid succession.

In the blink of an eye—

Arlong Park was reduced to a charred ruin.

Bodies of Fishmen lay scattered, twisted and burnt.

"You humans… do you really want to exterminate us completely?!"

Fishman officer Kuroobi shouted in terror.

"When you relied on brute strength to oppress the innocent and act without restraint—did you ever consider this would be your fate?"

Sullivan replied indifferently.

"You bastard! Fishman Karate… Four Thous—"

A flash of golden lightning silenced him.

Another Fishman officer—the one with the iron jaw—looked on in horror.

He no longer had any will to resist. Without looking back, he dove into the sea.

The remaining dozen or so Fishmen quickly followed.

The sea was their domain.

No matter how strong a human was, they couldn't pursue Fishmen in the water.

At least, that was their deeply rooted belief.

And ordinarily, that would be true.

But…

Today was different.

Sullivan dipped one hand into the sea.

"Electrocuting fish is illegal where I come from, but hey—"

Sizzle!

RUMBLE!

Golden lightning surged out in arcs, engulfing several kilometers of ocean.

Countless fish of all sizes flipped belly-up, floating lifeless on the surface.

Alongside them floated the corpses of the fleeing Fishmen.

The Fishman crew, who had ruled these seas for eight years and mercilessly exploited the poor, was completely eradicated.

At the bow of the Fairy Tail ship, Nami clung to the railing with both hands, eyes wide in disbelief as she stared at the fate of the Fishmen.

Arlong was dead.

The Fishmen who had once oppressed them were all dead!

Bell-mère's death had been avenged!

The village… was free!!!

In that moment, the shadow that had clouded Nami's life for seven long years finally vanished.

Seven years of pent-up emotion burst forth at once.

Dropping her tough facade, Nami cried like a child.

"It's over, Miss Nami. It's all over now."

Mira gently pulled Nami into her arms and comforted her softly.

"Cry… let it all out. You'll feel better."

Sullivan returned to the ship.

"Mira, I'll leave the cleanup here to you. I'm heading out for a bit."

"Master, didn't we already complete Nami's request? What else is there?"

Mira asked in confusion.

"No. It's not done yet."

Sullivan calmly shook his head.

As the words fell—

His figure transformed into a streak of lightning and vanished into the sky.

Arlong's crew had indeed been wiped out.

But the corrupt Navy officer who colluded with them—Captain Nezumi—was still at large.

In Sullivan's heart, Nami was already a member of Fairy Tail.

And to him, everyone in Fairy Tail was a comrade—a precious family member.

Anyone who dared hurt Fairy Tail would pay the price.

East Blue.

Navy Branch 16.

Captain Nezumi, with his beady eyes and rat-like mustache, laughed maniacally.

Looking at the hoard in the vault, he nodded in satisfaction.

Ever since colluding with Arlong and his gang, he had left behind the harsh life of scraping by on meager wages.

He'd risen through the ranks, living the high life of the rich.

Yes, he knew it was a serious crime for a Navy officer to conspire with pirates.

If exposed, he'd be sent straight to a military tribunal.

But…

This was the backwater East Blue.

The ones who could do something were far away.

As long as he stayed quiet, as long as no one talked... How would the big shots up top ever know?

He had already taken care of everyone at Branch 16.

They were all his own people—partners in crime who would never rat him out.

A bright and beautiful future was within reach!

Captain Nezumi twitched his mustache excitedly.

However.

The next moment.

His body shivered violently.

That once-promising future was suddenly shrouded in the imagery of hell.

A shadow of death loomed over him like a curse.

"W-What's going on?!"

Captain Nezumi fought to suppress his fear and burst through the door.

But when he looked up—

A figure brighter than the sun hovered in the sky, like a god descending upon the mortal world.

"This place is rotten to the core. The stench of its decay is unbearable. Since the Navy won't clean it up—"

"Let me help you."

Sullivan spoke coldly.

A quarter of an hour earlier—

He had already arrived and thoroughly investigated the entire base.

From Captain Nezumi down to the lowest sailor—none of them were innocent.

And so, he had no need to show mercy.

Violent electrical particles swirled in his palm—

Forming a tightly condensed sphere of lightning.

Thunder's Wrath!

"Wait—w-who are you?! This is a Navy base! You—you—what are you trying to—?!"

Captain Nezumi screamed in terror.

Sullivan ignored him completely.

With a wave of his hand, the lightning sphere fell—

BOOM!

RUMBLE!!!
