Chief Lupan stood up. "Dear brothers and sisters. What is the most important aspect of a feast?"
Everyone turned to him. If this was a few months ago, the Tribal Chiefs wouldn't have even spared him a glance even if he shouted at the top of his lungs. However, his tribe's win during the Archery Competition basically legitimized his authority for the first time.
And seeing as nobody answered his question, Chief Lupan took this chance to raise his arm to the roof.
"It's because we worship the moon!" he cried out.
And even if some of these Chiefs weren't approving of Lupan, they still couldn't help but howl in agreement with his words. They ate to worship the moon. It was a form of being grateful for her blessings.
"Why is this so? What does the moon benefit from us consuming food? Does anybody here know?"
