Fenix found his entire body unable to move. Even when he tried to use his own Aubility Power, there seemed to be a sinister manacle that restrained him from moving anywhere he wanted.
He looked down, only to see shadow tendrils now wrapped around his ankles.
"What… what's happening?" he asked out loud.
But it was only now that he realized that the cheers and excited shouts from the crowd had already disappeared. The only thing that was left was his own voice echoing out into the void.
"Urgh…"
Fenix struggled to unsheathe his sword. It took him every inch of his willpower to finally take out the blade to try and sever the black tendrils that had taken him for a prisoner.
"Why are you trying to run away? I thought that you didn't want to do anything anymore?"
He looked around and searched for that voice. It came from the slime, there was no doubt about it.
He should have known. He shouldn't have trusted such a weird creature suddenly appearing out of nowhere.
