"Seraphina will be fine after she thinks it over. Truthfully, I knew this was coming once I heard that Selene got married. She has a life here while Seraphina and I are done with this town. If Selene weren't married, we could all go together," said Thomas
"I should have approached her sooner, then she wouldn't have been married to the Blackthorn boy. Is it too late to convince her to leave him and come with us?" Zephyr asked.
Thomas laughed. "I would never do that. From her letters, Selene sounds happy with him. She's endured enough, don't you think? She deserves to be happy. I just never thought it would be with a Blackthorn."
"We're going to be stuck with Orlork forever," Zephyr said, annoyed.
"Him and all the others. The Blackthorns have always been picky about who enters their family, so I hope Selene doesn't have a hard time. It would be good if she could move out of this town with Xavier. Then we could meet often," Thomas said, but he knew that was not going to happen.
