Zephyr returned to his cave with the man who approached him. He dragged the unconscious man inside the cave while also listening for anyone following him.
He had been right that the Everharts were around the town and keeping watch of Selene. Their arrival ruined his plans to see Selene tonight since he needed to take care of this matter.
Zephyr leaned the unconscious fool against a wall and walked away to put away the holy weapon.
"Father," Seraphina said, stepping into the light. She glanced at the man her father brought home. "Why is Asher here? Did they go to Selene?"
"No, he was following me to ask about you and Selene. It won't be long before they start to approach her, and they will keep following me. I must return to send them all back," Zephyr said, since it was the only way for Selene to be left alone. "You will need to come with me."
