Damian sank to his knees, and then to his waist. The corridor tried to remove him from the battlefield entirely. It did not attack his body. It attacked his position, his presence, and the route connecting him to the stage. If it succeeded, even his Sword Sovereign Heaven would be forced to cut through endless folded exits to return.
Kaiden pressed harder. "Go."
Damian looked down at the darkness below him, and then he closed his eyes. For a breath, the sword in his hand became silent, and the Sword Sovereign Heaven behind him fell silent as well. Then the single sword hanging before the empty throne descended, and the entire sword world seemed to hold its breath.
Damian opened his eyes.
"Sword Sovereign Heaven."
The sword before the throne dissolved into light and entered his blade.
"Final Edict."
The labyrinth trembled.
"Throne Of The Only Sword."
