"Hey brat you said you can finish the work under one hour what is taking you so long just dusting one single room?" the instructor asked.
"You said dusting the room but did you consider that there are tools scattered all over the room t be put on place?" he replied.
As the instructor opened the door, he could not imagine what he was seeing as the dirty and messy room that he left an hour ago was neatly arranged with every category in its own place he was dumbfounded even to speak.
"What have you seen a ghost?" the boy asked.
"H.... ho.... wait how did you ... mmmh not how where did you learn to arrange Armory like this?" the instructor asked in shock as in his years only the trained sons of nobles or military family knew the arrangement. Even if you see you can't replicate it as it is like a behaviour.
"Picked it somewhere one of my uncles had a training Parlow like this and that is what he said I should arrange his Armory"
The instructor was astonished as the place looked different and spacious than previous.
"Brat you got yourself a bonus for this and if you don't mind come here after every two days in the morning I'll pay for your time" the instructor said.
"How much are you willing to pay for my services" the boy asked.
"How about two silver per day? mmmh" the instructor asked.
"No can do that doesn't cover even for the energy I use for the work, give me two silver and you get yourself a premium service" the boy said.
"Quite a bargainer you are" the instructor said.
"No, I know what my work is worth" the boy said.
"Ooooh so, then it's a deal you can call me Zest Kred" the instructor said.
"You call me Ceder, you won't regret my services" the boy said.
"Ooooh, so you confident with your services" Zest asked.
"The work speaks for it's self as you can see" Ceder replied.
They both laughed as they went out of the training Parlow, Zest took out two silver and handed them to Ceder as the work was finished for the day.
"See you after two days, don't disappoint me" Zest said.
As soon as he got out of the training grounds he dashed right where the smell of food took him, he could not say that he got a lot of silver teals to spend on but just that he had not had a good meal for God knows when and he was famished to have one in that moment.
But as the plot goes nothing comes without a price to pay just around a corner he met with the smart gang member face to face as he started trembling to his knees, the guy just passed him like he had no business with him like he did not know him.
"What the hell is happening to this city", he asked himself while going downtown where there is a grater cent of food.
As he reached one of the stalls, he could see meat on the stands but he had no way of obtaining the magical meat from the stalls as even if he could work for a year, he won't be able to obtain one gold for a palm sized chunk of meat.
He was able to obtain one skewer and bread that could last him for the whole week if he could ration himself well, one silver was gone just in a moment but he was not afraid as he remembered he was promised work by Zest Day after tomorrow that will solve other problems.
On way back he was careful not to be seen with the gang guys as he did not want to end in a cage or something of the like, he took the central road as it was dense and full of people for one to be spotted, just as emergence.
As he got at the foot of the mountain he could see that some guys where coming out of the forest carrying a boar and a dear carcases, he just waited for them to pass so that he could go back to his new found cabin, it was just as he got to the river that he saw another group washing up what seems to be blood looking to the side he could see that there was one guy lying down bleeding from his leg.
He just stood behind a tree looking at the bloody mess just a few steps away from him he could not understand what made the guys bleed that much, but that didn't stand or long as two people came to the river carrying a large carcass.
"What the!!", he could see the guy was carrying now it was a bear, how could they have killed that thing it was a massive thing from his perspective, there was no thing in the forest like that, he was asking himself where the hell did they get that beast from as these forests spans mor than just from the mountains as he once heard that the forest has a forbidden zone where magical beast reseeds.
Stories said that once there was beasts that roamed from all the way to the peak of the mountains that he now reseeds he just thought that it was just rumours but seeing that dead beast he could simply say that he got the confirmation of those rumours to him, now it was not rumours anymore.
The fear in his heart could not be explained in any way but the life he has now was better compared to a few years ago as now he has even the freedom to roam around with life intact.
He trekked back to his new house as to say the least he could say that it was a lucky encounter as the house seems hidden as no one can even know the house is there if they are not hiding or lost like he was.
He entered the house placed his inventories on the table and rationed them placed them in the chamber that seemed like it was used as the storage area by the previous owner but as he closed the door a book fell from top of it the area was designed like a mini cellar he could not imagine what the book was doing in there but that was for later discoveries he took his skin bag and went back the mountain to shower off his sweaty body and collect some drinking water.
As he was there, he could hear the ambient sound of the fall that made him relax more, without knowing it he fell asleep (waking up abruptly) he was astonished to see himself not in the house but still lying outside just aside the waterfall where he was resting.
He sat there asking himself was it that he was tired or what and how did he fall asleep outside how could that happen.
He stood up the moon was at its peak the light was illuminating he could see clearly the way he came from, but as he was exiting the falls he could see something glowing just behind the water falls but his sleepy mind could not think of anything more than going back to the house to rest as the next day was his free.
