Vexx read the quest one more time and wondered what he would gain by obtaining a class, 'Do I get new skills? or more stats, maybe even some more powerful martial arts.' Vexx was very excited about this turn of events.
The rest started to gather the crystals into the bag they had gotten. Vexx wondered how the bag was so easy to carry and picked it up realizing it was as easy as if it would be empty. "How is it so easy to carry?" Vexx looked at the other. Blake sighed at his ignorance which hurt Vexx a little but he didn't let it show.
"This bag is a special bag created by the River family. The river family has been on top of the bag market with these bags for a long time. Each bag has a portal space which basically means you can carry many more things without the weight of the things in it."
Vexx nodded and quickly put the bag down again. "Now that we know how to defeat them it should be relatively easy to take the zombie wolves down." Naomi started. "Yeah, but we still need to be careful as we don't want to end up against 20 of those." Blake said.
After they made things clear they started walking in the dark forest again. After a few hours they had arrived at a big waterfall with a lake beneath it. "What a beautiful place!" Sky said while looking around. "I think this is a good spot," Naomi said while putting down the bag.
Vexx looked around and stopped her. "I don't think it is..." Vexx said confidently. If there was one thing he had learned from being in the Dark Tyrants domain he knew that big open water places usually were the drinking place for big beasts. "Why not!" Sky complained feeling drained from all the fighting they had done. When walking they had encountered two more groups with wolves. Vexx only killed three but he started to wonder if there where any other beasts in the forest.
"This place is soon going to crawl with beasts or at least one big beast." Vexx said, looking towards the top of the waterfall and pointed. "If we climb the mountain we will probably be safe, for now at least." Vexx ended the sentence without much confidence which worried the others.
When they were at the top they all sat down by one of the trees which surprisingly was pretty straight compared to the others. After some minutes they opened the bag and took out the meat they had gathered from the first wolves and decided to eat. When Vexx was about to begin preparing he smelled the same rotting smell again, when he took a closer look at the meat he saw how the meat was the same color as the zombie wolves.
'Did the meat turn into zombie meat?' he wondered after a while of thinking there were three things it could be.
1: The meat got turned due to the closeness with the zombie wolves
2: The meat turned into zombie meat because by the time it had been a dead wolf.
3: The wolves turn into zombies at night and become normal during the day.
Vexx would guess the second one because there is no chance the wolves made any contact with the zombie or that the meat would take 7 hours to spoil.
"I don't think we have much to eat... Unless you want to eat some zombie meat" Vexx said in a calm voice deep down knowing what whould come next.
"What!" This time it wasn't Sky but rather Kamari that yelled. Vexx was surprised but then looked at Sky and saw her in a shooked state and mumbled. "And I thought she was better than before."
"What do we do now?" Blake asked, looking at Naomi and Vexx. They were silent for a few seconds when Vexx started speaking. "I think it's temporary," He said. Naomi looked at him wondering what he meant. "Do you mean that the meat will turn back?" She asked, still not sure if she got him right.
"Yes, I think the wolves turn to zombies at night and back to normal when it's day" Vexx said while wondering if the zombie meat was edible or not. "So you mean that when it turns to day the meat will turn back to normal?" Blake said doting the logic in his answer. Blake was going to say something about the logic in the answer but Naomi was faster.
"I don't think that's the case but if this is correct the wolves should be at least rare monsters." Naomi glanced at Blake and asked "What do you think?" She asked him concerned about Sky who just got back to her normal self.
"I don't think any of us have experienced the weird things about the different planets. If this was back on earth I would have guessed Vexx was delusional but I really don't know when it comes to outer space." Blake said, looking at the meat again.
Vexx started to speak. "If you ask me, I think it's best to wait until tomorrow morning to eat. The plants on this planet are nothing like I have seen before." Kamari looked at them and said "I can wait till tomorrow if everyone else also can.
After deciding to find out if Vexx's theory was true they talked about their plans for the next day. Eventually they couldn't see anything so they took shifts garding under the night sky. The person who sat against the tree wouldn't see anything while looking into the complete darkness, Except for Vexx who had a cheat which allowed him to see perfectly fine in the dark. After 6 hours Naomi woke them up and the next day started.
