Fuming, Ariza snapped back, "And how noble do you think you are? You look down on Ethan, but only because you've latched onto someone more powerful."
Alaric tightened his grip on Emerald's waist, his expression icy. "Are you blind? Can't you see that Little Moon was the one who ultimately rose to the top?"
Ariza was at a loss for words.
