Chapter 3 - At School...

School was how it always were. The same hallways, corridors and stairs. The students were as loud as they could be, the teachers always trying to make people's life miserable, but what can you do.....when you have a mother as strict yet loving and sweet as theirs there's no escaping this endless pessimistic routine.

"See you later, sis. Don't cry to mom after.", Damen said as they crossed his classroom.

"Ya, see you dumbass. We'll see who ends up crying to mom when we get home—you or me.", Eve retorted as she passed down the hallway.

The siblings were, well.... menaces. Nevertheless, they loved each all the same.

Little did they know, their life was gonna change after this.

Both of them got settled in their classrooms, one drooling, the other trying to settle down her ADHD. They didn't particularly have any friends here, counting Sarah out of course.

Sarah was their mom's best friend, Aunt Anna's daughter and they have known each other since when they were in diapers. Their mother used to tell them she met Aunt Anna during her toughest times when she was trying to cope up with her job and her children as a single mother. They never asked for too much detail, not even about their father because their mother would always have this look in her eyes that screamed she didn't want to be reminded of it. They were no pictures of him or anything related to him, almost like he never existed.

Back to the story, as Eve was waiting for her teacher's arrival she felt something different, like as if someone was watching her. She turned her neck over the window, but she saw nothing. That only made it worse, her ADHD made her legs kicking under the table and she constantly look outside the window. She almost wanted to sent a distress signal to her brother and mother, but she kept from doing it. Call her senseless but she had the primal instinct of a wolf. As soon as her teacher entered the lecture hall, almost instantly the feeling went away.
