"EVIE, DAMIE. Rise and shine. Time to wake up."
Screaming moms are never a a pleasant sight, both siblings would agree to that.
"MOM, it's not even 7 in the morning. Why are you screaming so early in the morning", Eve answered in a sleepy voice.
"I know, but darling it's better to be early than to be late"
Damen came down the stairs as Eve was kissing her mother's cheek and greeted the both of them.
Sandy had made toast and waffles for them. They finished breakfast and made ready for school and as everyone was ready to leave the house, Sandy as usual reminded them of the usual stuff
" Remember don't get into fights. Last time you remember we had to look for all over the street to find another school that would take you in. Also don't stay up late. Don't go anywhere near the allies and all those weed selling places. Take care of yourself. Don't rebuke your teachers, I don't want to be called up by your principal again. You understand me?"
Both the children groaned hearing their mother's endless nagging.
"Did I make myself clear, Eve and Damen Greene?"
"YES MA'AM", reply the little soldiers. They were already 15 years old and yet they would listen to their mother when she becomes serious. It's as if they know all hell will break if they don't. Their mother was as their Aunty Beck would describe 'a complete nutcase'.
Then again Sandy thought how bad can it be. If only she knew that today was defines to be the biggest no good days of her life
