Meanwhile, in Hueco Mundo, Jugram Haschwalth stood respectfully before a figure that had just appeared. Yhwach had returned.
His revival had been quiet, without much fanfare. The Soul Reapers already knew he was back—making a scene now would be asking for a death sentence. As arrogant as Yhwach was, he wasn't a fool.
"Your Majesty, the others are dead. Shall we proceed with the plan?"
Jugram asked.
"Of course. This world has always belonged to me, and I will take it back. As for my enemies, I will deal with them one by one," Yhwach replied, his face a mask of cold indifference.
Jugram said nothing more. It was just the two of them now, and Yhwach showed no intention of reviving the others. Still, Jugram's loyalty remained unshaken.
"For now, stay in Hueco Mundo. Find a way to subdue the Hollows. Even those foolish creatures can be put to use," Yhwach commanded.
"Yes, Your Majesty."
Jugram accepted the order and set off to bring the Hollows of Hueco Mundo to heel.
Yhwach, meanwhile, planned to slip into the Soul Society. He wanted to see if he could persuade certain individuals to join him—Aizen, for example. Yhwach wanted Aizen to bend the knee.
Then there was Shin Uzumaki. Yhwach was eager to meet this man and witness his power firsthand.
Anyone who could annihilate his Schutzstaffel in an instant had to possess strength beyond his expectations.
Yhwach soon infiltrated the Seireitei. For him, it wasn't a particularly difficult task.
The Zero Division had already left, returning to the Soul King Palace. Although they had departed the palace earlier, they couldn't stay away for long. After dealing with the Sternritter, they had gone back.
'The 1st Division barracks won't be easy to get into right now.'
Yhwach wanted to find Aizen, and he knew Aizen was in the 1st Division's custody, but he hesitated to go there.
His old rival, Yamamoto, was the Captain-Commander of the 1st Division. Yhwach had no desire to face him just yet.
He had to admit, he was still wary of the man who had sealed him away all those years ago.
'It seems I'll have to give up on the 1st Division for now.'
Yhwach abandoned the idea and prepared to head to the 2nd Division to find Shin Uzumaki.
'And then there's that traitor.' Yhwach suddenly thought of Bambietta. If not for her betrayal, the Sternritter might not have been defeated so easily.
They might have held out until his revival, allowing them to seize the initiative against the Soul Society.
But because of Bambietta's betrayal, the Wandenreich had been exposed, bringing the full might of the Soul Society down upon them.
At the thought, Yhwach's expression turned frigid. He had tried to use Auswählen to execute Bambietta, but for some reason, he had failed. He suspected Shin Uzumaki's interference, which only fueled his curiosity.
The moment Yhwach arrived at the 2nd Division barracks, he was exposed. Shin had already detected him.
"It's rude to show up uninvited."
Shin's voice was calm. He stood up. He couldn't just let Yhwach waltz in—it would be a blow to his pride.
Shin walked outside, coming face to face with Yhwach as he entered the 2nd Division grounds.
"You've got some nerve, walking into my 2nd Division so openly, without any attempt at concealment. Are you looking down on me?"
Shin asked.
"How did you find me?" Yhwach stared at Shin, surprised to have been discovered so quickly. It baffled him. He considered his concealment methods to be quite advanced, yet Shin Uzumaki had found him.
"Heh, you think finding you was difficult?"
Shin's Reiatsu permeated the entire 2nd Division. He could detect an ant crawling in, let alone Yhwach.
To Shin, the Reiatsu Yhwach carried was a shining beacon. He'd have to be an idiot not to notice.
"I'll give you two choices. One, you state your purpose. Two, I beat it out of you."
Shin's tone was anything but polite.
In fact, Yhwach had delivered himself right to Shin's doorstep. Shin had been wondering how to find and deal with him, how to copy his power. Now, here he was.
"You have quite the mouth on you."
Yhwach's expression soured. A moment ago, he had considered recruiting Shin, but that thought was now completely gone.
If anything, Yhwach felt that Shin Uzumaki was getting too big for his britches.
"You think I won't make a move here?"
Yhwach guessed that Shin's fearlessness, his willingness to provoke him despite knowing who he was, stemmed from the belief that he wouldn't dare start a fight in the Seireitei.
"But you've guessed wrong. Even here, I have no reservations."
Yhwach stated flatly.
"Heh, I think you're overthinking things. With your level of power, you think you're a threat to me? It seems I overestimated you." Shin watched Yhwach calmly.
Yhwach's Reiatsu was a far cry from his own. If Shin unleashed his full power, he might not crush him completely, but he could certainly reduce his strength by a good twenty percent.
